Version 7.0.0.41 to 7.0.0.83 has a bug not present in previous versions

Post by Johnny6 »

I have an MP4 file I loaded into ConvertXtoDVD. In the preview panel, I click "Play" and the first few seconds of the video are skipped. I installed version 7.0.0.40 and load the same MP4 file and it plays in the preview panel without skips. This bug is still there in the latest version.

Further testing, I installed version 6.0.0.90 and ran it alongside version 7.0.0.83. I loaded the MP4 file into version 7.0.083 and as expected the video skips the first few seconds when playing it in the preview panel. I then load the MP4 into version 6.0.0.90. I switch back to version 7.0.0.83 and surprisingly it plays without skipping the beginning.

Please, any ideas as to what's going on?

Hello,
Are you seeing this behaviour with all videos or just this one ?
Wonder if it could be an exception with this specific file ?

VSO is currently working on 64bits versions of their convention softwares and or a new software with all features into 1 software, jo one knows for now. So VSO will not be able to look at this bug for now.

My 2 cents…

It doesn't happen with all videos, just some videos. It seems like it doesn't parse the video correctly. In version 6, the parsing would always take longer, but it seems to help make these specific videos play correctly.
