Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Avangate is a software development company that makes a wide range of Internet applications. They probably developed something behind the scenes that VSO uses for their websites that delivers software download packages for them.

Re: Switching from W10 to Linux
CXD might run in a Windows emulator on Linux. I believe there's one called Wine?

Thanks for that follow up! I guess the "official" bug is paused conversions never restart. :)

Paused conversions never resume
I'm having an issue with pausing conversions of downloads to MP4. Whenever I download a video from YouTube and I have the option to convert it to MP4, if I Pause the conversion to MP4, pressing the button to Resume the conversion does nothing. The program just sits there and the conversion never ...

Re: Lastest Version 7.5.0.129 Crashes
There are still a few oddities here and there in the 64 bit version that aren't in the 32 bit one. So, for instance, I run both side by side. Since the 64 bit version is still in beta, I use the 32 bit version for any "final" DVD projects and I use the 64 bit version for all other projects that are ...

Re: 7.5.0.128 64bit
Hey, hey! :)
As I said, since I still have the 32 bit version installed, whenever I open it for a comparison test with 64 bit output, I do get prompted about the 64 bit beta update. I would disable the check for beta versions, but since the 32 bit and 64 bit versions share Registry keys, it might ...

Re: 7.5.0.128 64bit
The 32 bit version will also prompt the user that the 64 bit beta is available if they want to download it and they have opted in for beta announcements in their update settings. I still have the 32 bit version installed side by side with the 64 bit beta for any comparison test purposes I may need ...

Re: ? About Conversion Processes
4 is a good suggestion for the number of simultaneous open instances of CXD performing conversions. I've had 5 running simultaneously before, but the system slowed to a crawl, so I set it back to 4.

Re: Damn we have a problem
Well, that makes even less sense. If it wouldn't put anything to disc, how could it have wasted a disc? Did CXD write something but the disc wouldn't play? Or did the disc not complete burning?
That's one of the reasons why I have CXD write a VIDEO_TS folder output and I burn that output to disc ...

Re: Damn we have a problem
It's a TAD unusual that a movie that should be like 90 minutes has 99 chapters. That equates to a chapter mark at less than a minute into the movie. Unless the source is a container and not a VIDEO_TS. Then whoever authored it as an MKV might have made a dumb choice like that to put in more than 99 ...

Re: Oh no. We have a problem.
I would first check into converting the file. Most likely, the issue is the video is encoded as x265, which isn't supported by the 32 bit version of CXD. Version 8 should support those, but, in the meantime, you can "downgrade" x265 to x264.

Re: Write success at try #2
The primary thing I am taking away from these posts is the use of external burners. The internals seem to work but no matter the media, the issue seems to eventually appear on external burners. External burners are generally slim models and slims are usually pretty bad at writing things. I never use ...

Re: A question that someone might be able to help me with
There's a function called Cut. It is somewhat of a misnomer as it allows you to trim video. Unfortunately, it's not very accurate at editing, but maybe it will work for you. In the right side window of a Title, there's a red handled scissors icon. That's Cut. You have have to use the right hand side ...

Re: Cannot convert file at all
Thanks for that!
I THINK I mentioned it had playback issues around 35 minutes after conversion, but I wouldn't go back just to check. :)
Yeah, the source file plays fine on a PC as far as I could tell through just scanning through it. But, it doesn't even load on my Blu-Ray standalone player ...

Re: Cannot convert file at all
Yes, UHD Converter converts the file and yes CXD will load the UHD Converter output, but the output by UHD Converter is NOT correct. Forward to approximately 40 minutes into the output and it's either solid black with audio or a still image with audio, I forget which.

Re: Cannot convert file at all
Well, FileGator is a non-starter. After an hour, 0% had been uploaded, and it eventually stopped doing anything. It cut off the transfer itself. So, I'll have to up to a cloud and get back to you on that later.

Re: Cannot convert file at all
I'm uploading the file to All VSO Software cannot convert this file in the File repository, but I think that's going to be a non-starter. I've got like less than 20 Mb/S upload speed. I think I'll have to cancel this upload and just put it on a cloud and link it here.

Re: Cannot convert file at all
I'm starting to think it's simply a poorly encoded file. Given where I found the file on the HD, it appears to have been downloaded. My experience has been like 50% of all downloaded containers have some problem with them. Most common being audio out of sync with video.
