What is VSO Eve for?

Post by Mike89 »

Under Settings - Detection - Network Adapter, there are two options under Network Driver.

WinPcap (libpcap driver)
VSO EVE (NDIS driver)

If I try to select the VSO EVE, it bounces back to WinPcap. So in effect VSO EVE cannot be selected. So what is it even there for?

EVE driver is an inhouse network driver developed by our team, it whould replace Winpcap in the future.
If you cannot select it that means that it is not supported by your NICs, you can check the log to understand why, I suggest you to reinstall it first.

Tried re-installing already (though I didn't do a complete un-install). Where is the log located? I didn't see it in the VSO Downloader install folder. My NIC is Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet Driver.

OK just sent a report (basically just sent same message from my first post) using the Tool.

I found the logs in C:\ProgramData\Vso\VSO Downloader\3\Log. Might be a good idea for the user to be able to set that location in Settings. I for one would like it.

I already sent it the last time you asked me. Is there anything specific I'm supposed to put in there? On the last one I just put what was in my first post.

Just sent it.
