It is about "Audio disabled" error.
For the last time I used VMP, probably something has changed on my PC.
As you declare, VMP does not need any external CODEC, so it is not about some CODEC has been unistalled :-)

I worked with version 1.2.2.450 and today, after I saw a problem, have upgraded to the last version 1.3.5.461,
but it did not help.

The problem is, when I play any AVi or audio (FLAC, for example) file, a picture continue to be perfect,
but an audio stream is disabled.
I can change nothing.
I use your default VPM settings.

Other players, for example, BS Player & GOM Player, work perfect with the same files.

I will try to upload some pictures (screen shots) to make my statement more clear.

Best Regards,

Valery Shampal.

P.S.
Player is perect!
I liked it because it gives me the best results and take a maximum from my 2-processor PC and NVIDIA controller.

Dear Felicia,

Just received your answer and after reading it did not find a "replay" button ...
Nevertheless, I will try to answer from here.

First of all, many thanks for such a quick answer.
Second, I will download a Beta later, mabe today or tomorrow, check it and report to you.
I'm sure it will not help.

Two versions with the same results. It worked perfect, let us say, a week ago.
I do a lot of installation and uninstallations on my PC, bu,t as I wrote, your product
supposed to work with its own CODECS, so something other might influence.

I can send you you a couple of files (Video & Audio), but there is nothing special.
Regulatr AVIs rom different sources (DVDRip, BDRip, etc.) and regular FLACs

Best regards,
Valery

Ok.
I installed a Beta version and nothing changed, as I supposed.
To make your and my life easier, I used this time a file, downloaded from Youtube:

Natalie-Dessay-Se-pietà -complete-Giulio-Cesare-480P.flv
Just search it on Youtube with a name above. I can not sent you an URL :-)

I suppose you will like this performace! She is a great singer.
We liked her very much in Paris performance of "Giulio Cesare" with Emmanuelle Haïm.
She was also good in Metropolitan, but I do not like Metropolitan performances.

Attached find a problem as it looks like with this video. GOM plays it, by the way.

I would begin with a question, why Audio is disabled and what is this "?" about.
Then, I can send you whatever information you need, for example, what CODECs are installed
and what audio-video software I use, etc.

Sorry that I did not send you this video file by means of your upload tool.
No problem, if you need it any way.

Regards,
Valery

As you expected I'm able to play the videos with no problem.
We use no external codecs, but, we needed system ressources in other to play media, if you happened to corrupt one of this ressources ...
The "?" means that the language of the stream is unknown, meaning not tagged in the stream.
If you launch the program and go to Menu/help/Report a bug I may be able to see what's hapenning in more detail.

Thank you again for your feedback and for the introduction to Natalie Dessay.

Best regards,

Felicià

Just to add some information.

I payed attention, that your disgnostics tool shows DirectX version 4.09 on my PC,
but Microsoft dxdiag utility shows, that I have DirectX 11.

Sorry, if I did not understand something properly.

Any way, If you need some more information about DirectX and my multimedia hardware,
look into attached Dxdig output file.

Valery

Hi,

I guess you did not get my email ...
In short, and if I remember well the log file you sent me did not show any issue, what was weird is that it did not log any audio stream change, so something realy weird must be happenning.

You can try to download again the file using our video downloader that you can find it here, download the beta version under the big green button.

If this doesn't work either, we will probably have use teamviewer to see what's happening, if you agree just send me an email so I can send you back the steps to proceed.

One last question, is the sound out of sync when you play the file in other players?

Best regards,

Felicià

Hi, Felicia

1. I did not get any e-mail. My address is valery-shampal@bezeqint.net
2. As I wrote, I tried not only this video from YouTube, but rather a lot of AVI and other files
I can freely play on other players, such as BS Player & GOM Player, for example.
I used Natalie Dicey only to be sure we use the same file.
3. No, all other players play all videos correctly
4. To remind you, once your player was OK, so something happened on my PC. I just try
to understand, exactly what it is. It is definitely MY PROBLEM, and all the time I only ask you what
it might be about. If you can help – good, if not, I just uninstall this very good player 
5. I have and use your VSO Downloader version 3.0.3.5, but there is no problem with my files.
I cannot play new and very old ones, downloaded from very different sources, including trackers.
6. Just to remind you how my problem looks like, I will attach a small screen shot.
As you know, it looks like I have manually disabled Audio stream, but definitely I have not!
I cannot uncheck a checked "Audio disabled", because it looks like "build in" 
7. No, I do not want a remote access (probably you call it Team access, aren’t you?) to my PC, sorry.

The only thing, that remind, is to ask you a couple of questions:

1) You know your program, so you might guess, what forces VSO Player to start in "audio disabled" mode?
2) What external audio and/or video codec, installed on my PC, might cause this problem, if at all?

Regards and best wishes,
Valery

Hi, Felicia

Sorry bothering you, but I think, that maybe registry entries for VSO Player
might be of interest for you.

If not - just delete it :-)

Hi,

Because there was no reply in more then week, I think that you cannot solve this problem.
OK. I hope that you tried, at least.

The only question I have is, what might cause your program to start in "Audio disable" mode?
Each member of a development team can answer this very simple question!
Knowing an answer, I will try to find a problem by myself.
Definitely not in your program, but possibly on my PC :-)

what might cause your program to start in "Audio disable" mode?
Is windows having audio on?
Do you have external audio system that you turn on or connect when watching movies?

Is it a joke?

Definitely, Windows audio is on, especially if , as I wrote, I can see and listen all what I want with GOM & BS Player.

Yes, I have an external Creative, but I never put them in OFF and ... as I wrote, I can listen all what I want with GOM Player, GOM Audio & BS Player.

When I asked a question, I supposed you can pick a phone to a software developer and ask.

Look on attached screen shot to be sure I'm not crasy :-)

Nobody says that you are crazy, just need to be sure that everything is correct before reporting.

I just did fresh install of VMP.

After install I got no sound, but when I selected that audio track that was there below that "disable" it started playing audio.
That setting stayed even after closing VMP.

Small bug, it should use whatever audio there is available unless user has specified to disable audio.
