ConvertXtoVideo does not work with Samsung BD-H6500

Post by mue.mat »

Hello
As other people already mentioned, the Samsung player BD-H6500 definitively DOES NOT WORK with ConvertXtoVideo using BluRay-structure. I'm using latest version 1.5.0.23, but all the former versions do not match either. I give up, I tried everything. After 15 sec playing, picture is "freezing" and does not go on.
Converting the same movie with other converting software, the Samsung player BD-6500 plays the same BluRay-movies without any problems properly.
The firmware of Samsung player is up to date.
What can I do? There must be a little difference in conversion ConvertXtoViceo is using compared with other conversion software.
Thanks for quick answer

Hello,

Please, can you post your log files?
I just want to know if you're using hardware encoding (QuickSync or CUDA/NVENC)

a beta of ConvertXtoHD we think solves this problem, you can try with it

(free trial)

this week, fix will be integrated into ConvertXtoVideo

Hello

You've written to me
only Samsung player BD-H6500 "refuses" playing the movie. Especially when original movie has other frame rate than 23,97 (f.e. 25), there is no chance playing the movie in Samsung player.
If you are sure this is the problem have you tried unchecking this setting in the software?

Actually I'm not sure, but I WANT to allow because if original movie has a higher frame rate and converting "slows down" to 24, converted movie starts"stuttering".
But the problem sometimes happens even if original movie has a 24 framerate. Samsung player is "freezing" after about 15 sec.

If that settings is allowed then result might not be playable. All BR players have to play FullHD 23.97 and 24 FPS, any other framerate might be unplayable.

Hello Cedric
I have just tried out new beta version 1.5.0.24.
Samsung player BD-H6500 now works fine with ConvertXtoVideo using BluRay-structure. Picture does not freeze any more.
I converted a mkv-file (23,97 framerate). Next days I gonna try out movies with higher framerate and I hope converted movie will still play smoothly in Samsung player.
Thanks a lot for your great help.
