Hi,

Hummm, I have not much to say !

1) You seem to have the latest firmware on your burner.

2) Your burning at x4.0 which is great !

3) You are using 1st class quality media

4) DMA is enabled

5) You are using DVD-R SAO (Session At Once)

Is this a new problem, you you were never able to burn with ConvertXtoDVD ?

The fact that the error is "Hardware error", can you read a media properly ?

Can you burn with any other software ?

I am not saying this is the issue, but I would see if your burner is not going dead on you, since everything looks right, this is why it's so weird !

Someone else have an idea ?

You had no problem before with the program which rules that out.
You can try burning with a Re Writable, if the same error occurs try using the drive on a different IDE cable (if you know what i mean) and on it`s own (no HD on same cable) ...

Also if you have added a HD or another drive recently make sure it`s set differently, if on same IDE cable, so one is master and the other slave by the jumper pins on the back....

and see if your IDE controller is ok in device manager, no conflict or error..
Right click on [My Computer] and select [Properties] from the menu. Click [Device Manager] on the [Hardware] tab, then click to open the [IDE ATA/ATAPI (hard disk) controllers] section. You will find: the Primary IDE Channel controller, Secondary IDE Channel controller.

It is possible if it still happens your drive has had enough.
There's an old android saying which I feel is particularly relevant to this situation. It goes '00101010110100101010011110' which, roughly translated, means 'Don't stand around jabbering when your life is in danger.. Kryten, Red Dwarf

Some other things to check: the IDE cables should be 80 wire not the old 40 wire and try cleaning the laser lens. Might help to clean vent openings and check fan operation to since burners are placed where temperatures are highest.

12/24/2007 8:47:50 PM error Write error at 47552 (16) - Code 04 44 86 [Hardware error]

The error message is manufacturer specific when that bolded number is greater than 80. Check with LG to see if they can help.
