Question about "One license allows three simultaneous installations."

I recommended ConvertXToHD to someone else. They were wondering since the licensing page says "One license allows three simultaneous installations." can they give me their key and have it installed on 2 different "machines?" They're not on the same "network," won't be using the same IP address, and will be in different parts of the country.
Would that be allowed for one of the 3 simultaneous installations? She having purchased the license install it on her computer and then let me a 2nd of these "three?" She'd like my expertise on how to best use the software as I already have a ConvertXToDVD license and got her to get one as well. So, I am well versed in CXD and can easily help her, but not so much CXTHD.
My interpretation of most software licenses is 1 "user." Meaning, the one person who bought the license could install it on 3 different machines they own, but only they own.
I don't know the technicalities and legal issues here, so I wanted to ask before she did that.
