VSO Downloader changes Internet settings

It seems that VSO Downloader 6 changes my internet settings. After using VSO Downloader I cannot download icons in Office (uses http) and images in received mail.
Is this a known issue?

Downloader sets up a proxy to be able to capture traffic.
Some services might not be accessible while Downloader is on Radar mode.

Thanks for your answer. What is the RADAR mode and can it be disabled?

RADAR mode helps our users to find automatically video on their web page during their search.

To deactivate RADAR mode click on the manual mode (the hand - on top) or on the clipboard.
RADAR mode is orange when it's activated.
