Could someone tell me the difference. As far as making a DVD, I noticed that on my system, I5 quad, I can make a 1080p in less then 1 and 1/2 hours. Started a 2160p and I quit it because it was going to take over 6 hours. Would I notice a difference on my 1080p big screen or should I not even attempt.

If your original is 4K then you can see difference. If it is from TV - FullHD is enough.
