Ver 7.0.0.56 (and v.52)

Just a quick note of my experience.
I use Ver 7.0.0.40 and it works perfectly

When Ver 7.0.0.52 was released I installed it. It failed every single time (conversion failed error) so I went back to 40

I saw Ver 7.0.0.56 was released in Beta so I installed it thinking 52 problem would be solved; but never got to see if it did.
When I add a video to be converted, it takes over 5 minutes to load the file (v 40 takes less then 5 seconds) and then the program locks when I click "convert"

....so I'm back to Ver 7.0.0.40

This is not happening to me. However I think that there will be a delay in replies from the VSO team since at the moment VSO is short on staff. :(

Either version 52 and 56? Both work fine for you?
That's odd since a number of people reported the same "conversion failed" error on v52

I have version 7.0.0.56 installed and seems to be working fine. I have made a couple of conversions today without problems.

Felicia, the guy who has been working on ConvertXtoDVD is no longer with VSO. So it will take some time before technical problems will be sorted out. Just be patient.

BTW, there is bug fix No. 0013458: "Fails to load files is root is drive" . This could be the fix you are waiting for. Unfortunately the bug description is not very clear. It would be included in the next version, whenever it arrives.

After installing the official release of 7.0.0.56 that was released today (Feb 20, 2018), I get the following error when first opening the program:

"There is no hard disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Hardisk2\DR2"

The message will not go away unless I close it with the task manager. I had this problem with 7.0.0.56 beta that was released earlier as well.

Again will revert back to 7.0.0.52.
