Burning subtitles into video

Post by jeffycu »

Hi,
I want to burn subtitles into a video file but do not want to re-encode the original format of the video. I have tried adding in the subtitles but I need to re-encode and the output file size is much larger than the original. Is this possible to do?
Regards,
Jeff

If you want to burn/merge the subtitle track on video, you MUST reencode it...
Please post your log file to see why the output file is larger than original.

HI Cedric,

Here is the log contents. As you can see the original size is 1.42Gb but after re-encoding this becomes 8.08Gb. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello jeffycu

If you want to reduce the output size, you just need to change the "Target size for single file output".
Enter an output size manually, or reduce the quality factor.
