Update caused youtube to stop downloading

Hi

I have a strange request. Is it possible to roll back to previous version as I did updates to it and went up .134 and now it will not download from youtube which was working prior to these updates?

Hello everyone,

Are you using Firefox and in settings firefox cookie settings ?

Curious, if you look at the log file, or click on the lady bug, you can see the error in the mini log window…..
are you getting HTTP error 413

I had this issue, and the fix was to clean 100% cache, cookies, site info etc….

Then error went away.

Other manual fix, click beside the lady bug, and change to edge cookie, or no validation or whatever the option is.
If this id the same issue I had, Jacques from VSO is aware and sent be this (IF it’s the ERROR 413 you are having)

Sometime this error comes from a identification cache with the download engine. Something that will be in a future release of Downloader

To manually wipe this cache, go to the folder "%userprofile%\.cache\yt-dlp" (i.e. "C:\Users\<username>\.cache\yt-dlp") and delete every "youtube*" subfolder.

also download without authentication (cookies) might work.

I could NOT find a \.cache folder, why doing the Firefox clean/clear ALL fixed it for me !

If some wants to rolls back a version, check change logs here, and you download older versions:

Keep in mind, there are 2 things to keep in mind:

Version / Build of the application
And
The version of the Download Engine
—> 2 different updates…

If you think it’s the engine, reinstalling an older build might install the old engine, and DO update when suggested to upgrade the engine, but can still upgrade the software.
