Any way to keep "Sound Events" preferences?

I set Play Sound Events to Spanish; but as soon as I close the program, the settings revert back to English. I want to keep the GUI in English but play sound events in Spanish. The "Audio" is set to Spanish. I was able to do this in version 4. Any way to save such a setting in version 7?
