First DVD

Post by csraphotography »

I have been trying to convert MP4s to DVD with this software. For some reason it keeps shrinking the video and add a letterbox. I have tried Automatic Stretched and user defined but they all produce the same. Any tips?

The only thing I can think of that might do this is you're selecting 16:9 versus 4:3 for output. That's the only thing I can think of that would add bars to the top and bottom of video.

Under the options, under Output, under Output Format, under Aspect ratio, it's probably set to Automatic or if it isn't, it may be set to 16:9. Try setting to Automatic or 4:3.

Otherwise, I can't see CXD doing any kind of conversion of source files on its own.

I thought TV's are 16:9? The bars are at the top and bottom and the video is squeezed down.

It depends on many things:

what is your TV, 4:3 or 16:9?
what is your source file AR? It might be more than 16:9 so there will always be bars.
