Never succeeded at preserving DTS in output?

Post by ira »

Hi,

I have tried a few time in recent YEARS. Currently, I have an UNPROTECTED DVD. I know it is DTS 6 Ch 768Kb audio. I uncheck Convert DTS to AC3. In this case, the result is shown as AC3 5.1 but NO AUDIO is heard. I believe if I recheck the option I'd have AC3 5.1 and would hear audio.

My goal is someday, some s/w to pass DTS across without ANY CHANGES. Not close with VSO .69 or any prior release I've had.

Any thoughts?

Tnx,
Ira

For now, ConvertXtoDVD and convertXtoHD allow you to convert to 5.1 surround sound, however it's in AC-3 5.1 at most - there is no support for DTS
conversion and for 7.1 surround. However, the coming-asap FFMPEG update will improve all compatibilities issues and fix many other small bugs.
