Hello,

After installing convertxtodvd 7.0.0.67, I get an error message when I play a movie a couple of seconds in de preview screen.

After re-installing version 7.0.0.66, there is no problem.

Can you try with another movie ? If you haven't done it already.
I'll try to reproduce on my PC.

It appears to me that the issue is being caused by the subtitles. I have tried to reproduce the problem using the same movie , with and without subtitles. See pictures.

This version of CX7 has been issued twice. This bug has not been present in the first issue. I have tested the first issue using the same movie with subtitles and it played fine in the preview window.

The pictures show the application with and without subtitles.

I have reinstalled version 7.0.0.66 and there is no problem at all.
To send you de error message, I have to install the latest version again.
I am satisfied with the older version for the moment.

Version 7.0.0.66 has bugs which in version 7.0.0.67 have
been fixed.

thats strange 5 mins ago i tryed the same and it worked but then again i had trouble with the picture and d go back to .64 version today i instaleed .67 version and geuss what everything worked fine.
u sure it had nothing to do with the subtitle file there is a solution to test it if ya have bad subs or not and thats a free program called subedit or subtitle workshop.

@ Soxa,

I tested version 7.0.0.67, second issue with a movie and a subtitle file using the preview player and that crashed the application.

I then tested version 7.0.0.67, second issue with the same movie but without subtitles and that played fine.

The day before, I tested version 7.0.0.67 first issue with the same movie and subtitles and there was no problem.

I think that the problem is not in the subtitle file. It is in the player of version 7.0.0.67 second issue.

Using subtitle workshop will not show that there is any problems because the subtitle file is good.

It isn't linked to the quality of the subtitles (this time!)
Jacques found and solved the bug, we'll make a release tomorrow.
Coral, there weren't two issues of the 7.0.0.67v. This bug was happening randomly, this is why your first try was good like was mine.

But... solved!

I have been under the impression that there have been a second issue. I don't know what made me think that :?

Well, never mind. The important thing is that the bug has been cleared. Well done !

Glad to hear you find the problem and a fix!
the only thing i have with .srt files and thats with every convertxtodvd that the last line in the sub is always on top of the screen after conversion and burned is finished when you play it in dvd/bluray player .
Is that something convertxtodvd do automaticly cause when i play the files with media player classic or vlc or sbu workshop its always at the botom

I think that for multi line subtitles, when you have 3 lines or more, you will have to set middle number higher then the default one. Or perhaps you can reduce the font size.
This can be done in the Subtitles style editor.

Try and experiment with the settings of the Subtitles style editor.

In software players it is possible to set the position at which the subtitles appear.

Soxa, so the issue is :
- with TV: last line (with 2? 3 ? more line? every last line?) appears on the top.
- with computer players: it is working fine.

That's it?
(so I can run some tests about this see if I can reproduce)

Last line of any multi-line text, if there is only one line it is ok?

Or are you referring to actual last spoken dialogue, at end of file so that is last subtitles shown in movie?
