BluRay Output or AVCHD

Post by ron spencer »

I have a Canon VIXIA HF G10 that records AVCHD at 1920x1080 at 60i (media info reports 29.97).

Since it is AVCHD to begin with, I suspect my output option should always be AVHCD to avoid too much quality loss right? I tried blu-ray output but it seems a bit jerky to me.

thx

Hello,

Please post your log file so we can see about the jerkiness.

You can remux your audio and video so that it remain untouched, avoiding any potential quality loss (in ConvertXtoVideo)

You can convert to any format and I think the quality should be fine as long as you keep your HD resolution identical to the source, it really all depends on what you want to do with the file afterwards.
