Re: ConvertXtoVideo - latest beta version 2.0.0.92/88

Post by mue.mat »

Hello
I have a brand new notebook with the grafic card "Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080" (--> Cuda capable!).
The latest toolkit by "Nvidia Cuda" I have just installed.
Unfortunately using ConvertXtoVideo conversion fails immediately by using Hardware Decoding "Nvida Cuda". Actually this shouldn't be or is there a reason why Cuda-conversion doesn't work?
Thanks for answering quickly.

I have just tried out latest beta version 2.0.0.93.

Unfortunately the following two bugs are still remaining:

1.
CUDA conversion is still not working with the grafic card "Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080".
Unfortunately the option "Nvidia CUDA" doesn't appear as an option. Only "Nvidia NVENC" is possible to choose, but conversion fails again immediately by using Hardware Decoding.
By the way, maximum of simultaneous conversions is reduced to 2 (before: 4)

2.
Soft Subs (BluRay-Conversion, 1080p) are still not displayed correctly (should be white in my case, but subs are nearly "transparent") or don't appear at all on the screen.
Hard Subs are now working properly.

Thanks for trying hard and quick to "eliminate" these tow above bugs in next update.

CUDA 2.0.0.93

Just downloaded and tried to make AVCHD (disk) with 2.0093.

Intel i7, 32 G RAM, Windows 10 64 bit, GTX 1080

Noted 2 problems.

1 It asks for the activating code again. I entered it and it says the activating server isn't available because of no internet connection.

2 CUDA encoding is grayed out. The Nvidia NVENC encoding works, and it works very quickly, too (at 250 frame per second!! (Still not as fast as DVDfab ;-) However, the output is at 4.22 mbit/s on a black DVD+RW ** in AVCHD format ** (played on a Sony Blu-ray player) and it's very, very clean but it's limited to 5 minutes of the video because it's working as a trial version.

I know you're running on minimal, but it's close to perfection if these two major bugs are fixed.

Hi

I just tried out new version 2.0.0.94 these days:

1. BluRay soft subs are working fine now. Thanks!

2. Now my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 hardware encoding is working (but not CUDA, only "NvidiaNVENC"). Unfortunately there are only 2 files possible to convert simultanously and speed is about the same as Software Encoding ...

But there is also a bug in NvidiaNVENC hardware encoding:
BluRay conversion is completing fine. But when burning on BluRay disc, disc in player is not starting (only menu appears, but no way for playing the disc.)
Software encoding is working fine, even after burning.

Thanks for fixing this bug in next update.

Greetings and happy holidays

I've ripped a blu-ray with Blu-Ray Ultimate Converter - video, audio, sub all remuxed - into one m2ts file.

Audio was and is "DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, 8 Channels".

Now I want to use ConvertXtoVideo to "remove" not-needed subtitles (with Advanced Edit) - remux all again - from this m2ts file - but now "DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, 8 Channels" will be converted into AC3, 48.000 Hz, 384Kb/s, fltpbits, 6 Channels.

From another m2ts file - "DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, 6 Channels" will be remuxed correctly (again).

Why is Audio remux possible from blu-ray but no remux possible from the remuxed file when DTS with 8 channels?

Code: Select all
