Post by Gianni45 »

Hi everyone!

I'm currently giving VSO Video Converter 1 v1.4.0.4 a try on my old WinXP machine and i'm wondering what is this icon in system tray for...?

Do i really need it running permanently in systray, even when the main program is closed, and/or how can i remove or disable it ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

There was a few version with Icon issues :)

I think v1.4.0.4 was missing the icon totaly, and then later on the wrong icon was used :)

Download and try v1.4.0.8 ßeta: http://forums.vso-software.fr/latest-be ... 18207.html

It should fix all those issue and more :)

If you open your task manager is Video Converter running or open?
Close all instances of it, and restart your computer.
If the application is closed it should not be running in your system tray.

After your restart is Video Converter in the system tray?
Does it ever appear there now, even if you do not launch the product?

Hi Claire,

yes, that icon 'WAS' in my systray even when the program was neither running in task manager nor open...i say: 'was' because i've just uninstalled it, i've cleaned the registry and installed again version 1.4.0.8 beta - as per Cougar_II suggestion - and voilà, no more icon running in systray :!:

Very weird indeed but the issue seems resolved now... :D

Thank you very much everyone for your time and help.
