Maybe today or many in the beginning of next week a beta version of our media player will be posted here on this forum.

Such a nice post. Here some more info about VSO media. VSO Media Player is integrated in the CopyToDVD suite but it is available for free as a stand-alone package. Skins are supported and you can create your own easily. VMP is very fast to load and play, manages play list and ID Tag information.

actually it will not be the same as the old player. NO skins, and other previous related stuff.

I hope that it can play most formats, including mkv, and be able to use GFX-hardware (like VLC does) without huge system requirements.
If not, then it is not very useful for most.

No audio output for dts in .mkv

The sound was "cla....cla...." noise. Windows Media Player plays the same .mkv perfectly on the same PC.

What codec is missing in my PC, or what should be added to make the VSO media player to play these .mkv files with sound?

Thanks!!!!

Should not need any codecs.
Get a program to analyze that mkv and post info about it.
One way to analyze it is to load it in CxD.
