Hi,

I have been using VSO Downloader for a long time, and for a little while (Wonder if the upgrade to the latest Windows 10 BUILD made some changes)...

Anyway, now Download no longer (auto) detects my NIC cards like it used too.

I need to MANUALLY select my NIC everytime now...

Anyone else having this new "Behavior Change" and if you do, was it after you also did the Windows 10 Upgrade to 2004 or the latest 20H2 ?

I know a new version will be coming in 2021 so no worries or rush, just curious.
I might retry a full 100% re-install also see if the issue goes away !

Check that your NIC has manufacturer drivers; very often Windows update swaps Microsoft drivers as "they are newer" but in many cases those generic MS drivers do not have the functionality that is provided by manufacturer drivers.

I think I found my issue...

I use a VPN Software called PIA (Private Internet Access)

It had always worked and auto detected my active NIC (TAP-Windows Adapter v9) when the VPN is active.

Not long ago they added a new Protocol (WireGuard) and I think this is why now it's not auto detecting my TAP-Windows Adapter v9

If I turn off my VPN, it auto detects my RealTEK card no problems....

Good. VPN can cause a lot of issues.
