I know this is going to come off sounding inconsiderate of Vista users but when I saw the changelog of the new Download release all I could think of was - Really? Aren't there more important things they could devote their time fixing?
Vista hardly had a "community" when it was the new OS that Microsoft came out with. At most they had a 19% Windows market share, never beating out its predecessor WinXP. Now, Vista makes up a percentage of 0.41% of all Windows OSes. https://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-m ... /worldwide Out of all those 0.41% how many are likely to be using (or wanting to use) VSO Download? Maybe 5 people worldwide. if that? SMH
This reminds me of not too long ago when VSO was falling apart and all the employees were leaving. The only program that was regularly updated was VSO Download, a free program. Rather than support the money-making programs with updates produced by the limited staff they put all their effort into a non-revenue producing program. Granted it appears that VSO has a completely new staff and hopefully whatever was going on within the company that gave the appearance that it was falling apart is done but I still have to question the company's priorities.

Hi Gripweed,
Hope you are doing great!
Thanks a lot for your support and interest. This fix was a 1hour work, do not worry we have clear planning and we carefully choose which fixes we have to do or not. In this case, we announced a Vista/XP support on our website, we choose to fix Vista support at least (XP has been abandoned) to be fair with our Vista users.
Cheers,
Maggie,

I just remember Vista.

Microsoft put the final nail in the coffin of its 13-year old – and often maligned – operating system, Windows Vista. After April 11 2018, the U.S. technology giant will end support for Vista, meaning customers will no longer get crucial security or software updates
