'Extraction failed' message - Fsx acceleration disc

Post by Goosed » Wed Mar 07, 2012 9:23 am

Hi all, have just bought Flight Sim X gold and want to make copies to keep originals pristine.
Discs 1 and 2 seem to read and write fine [though yet to try installing from them], but the acceleration disc gives and immediate message of 'extraction failed'
Anydvd is installed on the computer and I have tried going to msconfig > startup items and disabling anydvd, then restarting the computer, but extraction still fails.

OS is win7 ultimate with very little else installed [tv computer - htpc]

Any suggestions welcome.
tia.

Installing fsx from the copies of disc 1 and 2 worked fine. MS have done something different on acceleration which blindwrite can't figure out.
Actually, because fsx fully installs to the computer and doesn't ask you to put disc 1 into the drive each time you want to run the program, keeping the originals in perfect condition is not a problem in this case.
