Burn never finishes just stalls midway through

I am trying to burn the movie "Alpha". The first time I tried it burned without a problem. When we watched the movie I discovered it had no subtitles. I then retrieved the srt file and added it for the second burning. For some reason it stalls every time. Can you help? I've since burned other movies without a problem.

There was some issues with older versions of CxDVD and subtitles.
Usually fixing those subtitles manually did the trick.
SRT needs to be text-only.

Is there special software to check and edit srt files? My computer as it sits can't open it.

You should be able to open it with Notepad, SRT should be plain text.

Thank you! I was able to open the file with notepad and went through the entire list of phrases. All I see is words with periods or other punctuation marks after them?

SRT text only should be like this:

Format is:

Line number
Starting time --> ending time
actual translation

If there is not these visible then it is not properly working SRT text-only.
Sadly there is multiple versions of SRT subtitles, some really complicated and they only work with correct application.
