The infamous "audio format changed in stream #1" p

Post by CenaIsGod » Fri Apr 02, 2010 3:46 pm

So I've been getting this a lot lately, and even though I have "do not fix audio discontinuities" box ticked, it seems to still be doing just that, as towards the end of each DVD I've burned, they'll go like a second or so out of sync. :? What's happening?

Update to latest version and try again.
If still no luck, try other files.
Audioformat should not change that much.

i thought u should have the "dont fix audio gaps" uncheck... and then if there are gaps, its your sources.

or like previously said, try updating to new version, though i dont think thats going to help

This happens each time a new version has come out. A wave of Audio format errors floods the countries. Why fix the problem when we can get a few more euro's.
I have never complained about the VSO, but there are quite a few issues that they are just plain lazy about. i.e. Changing the title, you have to close the program and reopen or your DVD will have the last movie's name on it. Small, and stupid yes, but a pain for a world class software program. Subtitles, I have asked many times why even free software can show the real position of subtitles, when your adjusting them. But it is too difficult for our favorite company.
This audio issue is one more reason to go with watching streaming scaled up from laptop to big screen. The DVD/subtitling era is going the way. It is still hard to criticize VSO for wanting me to upgrade and give them what is given to the collection plate each Sat or Sunday. Because over the last ten years, I have filled all the drawers in my house with foreign films that I would have never watched without the internet, subtitlers and ConvertX. I just would like the company, I mean their programming dept to be as responsive as say the front office taking our call's and emails. To them I say "no european summers, fix the issues"; and they'll "wait till the next version". Thats the VSO way,

4 years after last post and few years since last v4 version came out and you are complaining
This happens each time a new version has come out.
Ok, you can complain.

But - this issue has been covered many times and v5 is much more reliable in these situations.

And to make it absolutely clear; this problem has nothing to do with VSO.
This is caused by those who encode movies with incompatible streams.
