How to check the converted video before burning ?

Post by Annelise »

Hi,

Sometimes you want to make sure the conversion is fine before burning, especially if you have added subtitles, or want to check the quality, the audio, etc.
With ConvertXtoDVD you don't have to burn your files straight after conversion if you don't want to. If you save your conversions, you can access them from your computer and play them with a media player (VLC is strongly recommended) to check the output.

To do this, first, set the following parameters (see screenshot 1) : in "Settings" "Burning" , make sure the following options ARE NOT CHECKED :"delete folder after succesful burn" and "Burn result to DVD" (you can also turn off/ignore the burning option, when it comes up on your screen after the conversion.)

Insert your file and convert it.

The conversion will be saved in a folder ( by default in My Documents/ConvertXtoDVD/videofilename ), (the actual location is indicated in "settings" "general", and in "working folder" if you cannot find the ConvertX folder in "my documents)

Locate the folder, do a right click on the "video_TS folder and play it with VLC media player.

If you're happy with the conversion, and want to burn it, open ConvertXtoDVD, click on "action" and select "burn an already converted project". Then select your project in the windows that opens, insert the DVD and burn it. :D
