Autumn Breeze animated background video
Hello,
When I change the Background image for Title menu parameters to Autumn Breeze I get this message in the log section in a yellow color - Cannot get stream information, Maybe file format [mpeg] was misdetected due to incorrect file extension.
This is how the Background image looks in the Tree View
Background image for Title menu is using still image: "autumn_breeze_ntsc.mpeg"
My tree view looks just like the picture in the forum under - Get free DVD menu Templates Bonus (New template added 12/22)
What am I doing wrong?
I am using version 3.3.4.106
Thanks for any help.

Changing defaults in templates
With each update I look for the ability to change the defaults in the minimal menu. For me this would be the greatest single improvement.
templates for movies
Why don’t you have simple templates which have no image distorting? As in, keep the aspect ratio of the images.
Many people put movies on their DVDs so the best thing would be to create templates which fit the IMDB movie images. Most DVDs can fit one or two movies.
Here are some examples of what many people would like to see

Perhaps a nice idea, but I already put the duration on the DVD itself along with the title, so it's easy to know the duration when selecting a movie to watch.wobble wrote:What about being able to put the duration of the movie in the template also?
Example: 1:21 hr
Information like this is already available to ConvertXtoDVD

Well, you can use the user's localization settings to get their preferred time layout settings. But you can have it in the options if you want some other format for time.
But simplicity is the best option for templates. Images should keep their aspect ratio. You can resize them but don't change the aspect ratio. The template suggestions which I have given above will be used by 80% of all users.
When creating the current templates, didn't anyone do some samples and think that the distorted images looked strange?

Hi raymondtrudeau,
It is not a template.
You can place them at any place at your PC.
They are not VSO folder related.

The algorithm that implements dynamic position will have to be fixed in order to use it for most templates.admin wrote:hi
I know you want menu editors but for now we don't have it, everytime we add a new template it requires new functions, and these functions will be used ( LATER ) for the menu editor,
for now, we just added a menu CX2 which has the same look and feel than the old version 2 menu. but it required to develop a lot of new functions like dynamic position and alignment of items , something you will appreciate in any advanced menu editor.
so .. once again, we got the message about the menu editor, but at this time, the things are progressing even if you don't see them directly.
The lower curve in the attached image shows how it is implemented for the cx2 template. Note that the same spacing is used for 6 or 8 titles and that for 7 titles is less.
That works OK for cx2 because there is enough room between titles so they do not overlap when 7 titles are used. But try to use dynamic position on other templates and you will get title overlap for most of them when you use a number of titles that is one less than page max.
The algorithm should produce spacing more like that shown in the upper curve for the function to work as intended.
PS: I would like the capability to drag and drop menu items so they could be moved to areas that do not obscure an important part of a background or to make the menu more attractive.
