OMG VSO Image Resizer

Post by Budda_357 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:13 am

Hi, Clair
OK whats happened to the software  as now when you open the program there is an update to V4.0.4.3 when you select download option which opens the browser to to the VSO download page there is now no download listed for image resizer or is it any longer listed on the VSO forum index page
Researching now finds "Light Image Resizer (formerly VSO Image Resizer)" in addition, web site page is called "Obvious Idea" :?: http://www.obviousidea.com/tag/image-resizer/
Checking the version history page on the above web site.
VSO Image Resizer – 4.0.3.2 LAST VSO Image Resizer build
Image Resizer – 4.0.4.1

- version recompiled with ObviousIdea.com copyright and links
Light Image Resizer software is this still part of of the VSO. :? If not does this now mean for VSO Gold licenses holders :?: :?
If this program is no longer to be part of the VSO stable it appears that photo application type software will not be part of the VSO direction & shows that maybe VSO's "Photo to DVD" will suffer the same fate.
There also appears to be no news on the VSO web page for name change or acquisition of this great program.
Regards Budda [sic]

Hello,

Sorry I did not see your message until now.

Image Resize now belongs to Obvious Idea. PhotoDVD will remain a VSO product.

For Goldmembers you can get the latest version VSO Software released of Image Resizer and your key that will unblock it.
You can contact ObviousIdea and see if they are considering anything special for you as you have previously purchased the software.

Hello Claire
Thank you for your reply.
One thing I have noticed with the Obvious Idea web site the company appears to be headed by VSO's Fabrice who is the owner CEO was he the programs developer for this software originally.
I am a loyal VSO fan  is VSO going to develop another program to replace the old image resizer or are VSO moving towards Video only type programs :?:
Have a great day. :D

Hi,

Yah Fabrice has started up a new company, ObviousIdea.

As for VSO Software we do not plan on replacing Image Resizer with another product. For the moment we are concentrating on video + burning. I do not know if that means there will not be any photo specific products in the future as handling video is nonetheless related to treating images + image quality. No photo specific products are in the works right now, aside from continuing to develope PhotoDVD.

Dear All,

it's Fabrice, past CEO and Co Founder of VSO

I just want to clarify something. I didn't change the key format, so if you have generated a VSO Image Resizer 4 with your goldmember license from VSO, you can use and switch to the Light Image Resizer from ObviousIdea
Former VSO CEO & co-founder
My new company is there : http://www.obviousidea.com

I downloaded the Image Resizer software from the link that Claire offered. I also have a new key code from VSO (I just received a new laptop and needed to re-install all of my VSO software). The key code does not work on IR though. Any thoughts?

WATCH OUT!! Obvious Idea installs really nasty malware with the download. If you get infected only adwcleaner will remove it. Watch out and stay away. I just cleaned up from that HUGE! mistake!
