Re: DVD Converter Ultimate 1.4.0.8 not Converting SG-1 DVDs

* Tried folder using Vso Media Player - "Warning - This disc may be protected."
This might be it. Protected files can often be played fine, but not converted.

Re: DVD Converter Ultimate 1.4.0.8 not Converting SG-1 DVDs

Try ripping those discs to harddrive, then check size of ripped folder and try play that folder.
If result is clean and playable, then convert that folder.

It might be that AnyDVD HD can't remove protection fully from those DVDs...

Re: DVD Converter Ultimate 1.4.0.8 not Converting SG-1 DVDs

To me it looks like protection issue. Very many series are released with different protections on same DVD set.

Re: Player looses audio sync playing .avi files

Your problem sounds more like computer issue, most likely caused due lack of resources.
If you can't reproduce it then it can't be fixed, specially if it happens only sometimes with some files.

Re: Suggestion: Custom filename pattern

Downloader is looking for streams being downloaded, not text or titles on webpage.
Those streams do not include information required for your suggestion.

Idea is good, but when you are picking up streams there is not always that information available.
So where do you pick it from?

Re: No streaming detection / network adapter problem

I suppose SRT uses same type of streaming and detection as YLE in Finland. We have mutual problem.
Sadly to solve it - VSO needs access to those files. I can't set up a proxy in this network, but maybe you can set up one there?
That would allow VSO to try downloading themselves.

That first is not working either, IP blocked.
Second one works and is detected just fine.

Re: No streaming detection / network adapter problem

Can't check on those as Swedish Broadcasting is blocking IPs outside Sweden.

Re: SPDIF support

This issue sounds simple and actually is simple, problem might be that programmers might have not even realized the way sounds has to be routed in some systems. Currently the most common way (and official to keep standards) is to send video and audio thru HDMI. This requires compatible systems from ...

Re: CUDA reset problem

Next step is to check GFX card, clean cooling rods and fan.
If it does not have a fan, only passive cooling - then install a fan, conversion heats it up and that crashes it.

Sounds like video card overheating and crashing.
Try converting without Cuda - does it work? (yes, it is slower)

Re: which product to use?

If you want to make exact copy then use CopyTo.
ConvertX does not keep original menu, but it can "squeeze" DVD9 to DVD5, or convert from PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL.

I would not convert/shrink 3D movies, risk of getting scrambled mess is too great.
Normal movies can be converted easily.

Re: Can you recommend a good video player to replace Windows

If VSO Media Player is not enough then Media Player Classic Home Theater is.
So far it is only player that is able to play FullHD mkvs on my old computer without any problems.
All other play huge amount of different formats but hickup badly with FullHD mkv, audio sync problems, picture stutters etc.

Well, if that product is causing problems, asking from products own support might give better results.
Best option is to buy ConvertXtoDVD.

Load your files to ConvertXtoDVD, insert burnable DVD to burner and let CxD do it for you.

Re: Virus

I agree completely, I'm just curious on what gives OP that warning. AVG is bad, Norton not so much as old versions were bad but new ones are very good actually. And of course you can tell it that program is safe; usually Norton reports that file "might be viral", but they have very fast on...
