doubt that's a CXV problem, you need to check the timing in the subtitle file. CXV only applies the times specified in the file. If the file says "show for 1 second" than thats what will happen.

I don't see it anywhere where i can set a default language for subtitles. The current changelog on the site does say .24 yes cherry, but the setup IS .25. Take my word for it. Already installed here

It's not

CXV's main purpose is to convert from 1 video format to another (eg avi > mp4)
CXD's main purpose is to convert video in any format to DVD's specifically and offer much more customization than CXV does
