Re: slow to boot / start / load

Some software installed in your system that should not be needed, might cause problems, might not. You still have K-lite codec pack, that one is not needed in most cases. Usually modern players can play any codec without extra packs. You also have BootRacer installed, that one is also not needed any...

Re: slow to boot / start / load

You seem to have a hard problem to solve.

Windows is reinstalled, you have cleaned registry and caches.
How is your hardware?
Amount of RAM, swap size, hard drive space etc.

Re: Log shows critical info

Can you get more info on those files (versions) that are causing this problem?
Mainly what encoder has been used etc.
I have similar problems with some files.

Re: Problem converting MKV file

Always remember that avi, mp4 and mkv are containers. There can be many different ways to encode files inside container. I have recently seen a few TV episodes that have been encoded so badly that on my TV they do not work at all, converting them with CxHD makes them playable, but still randomly the...

GetToDaChoppa: are you loading multiple clips?
Original post is about one file with multiple chapters.

Merging multiple files can be done by first loading one clip, then adding to that file.

Re: No Audio converting to AVI using H264 encoder

AVI is very restricted container; Since its introduction in the early 90s, new computer video techniques have been introduced which the original AVI specification did not anticipate. AVI does not provide a standardized way to encode aspect ratio information, with the result that players cannot selec...

Re: Latest beta version 2.0.0.98: Subtitles not working properly

This can still be multiple issues as both mkv and mp4 are container formats.
Files with these extensions can have different encodings on video, audio and subtitle.

That one is one of "clever" spammers, just posting normally and using signature with links.
Sig is now removed so lets see what he does.

Re: 7.0.0.67 error message preview screen

That one looks correct. I have seen some where they deliberately leave last sentence (usually advertizing) to be displayed until end of file.
Really odd problem, does it show the same way if you play converted disc in computer?

Re: 7.0.0.67 error message preview screen

Can you paste that last dialogue here?
Anything in that file after second last dialogue, like this:

Code: Select all

1603
02:01:07,137 --> 02:01:10,140
? I won't go
Breaking your heart ?

Last line of any multi-line text, if there is only one line it is ok?

Or are you referring to actual last spoken dialogue, at end of file so that is last subtitles shown in movie?

Re: Created DVD much much smaller than original MKV file

You got it! ;) Some programs advertize "HD" when they really are DVD. Some are just bogus, some use the confusing descriptions of standards: HDTV 720p 1280×720 progressive scan: 923,600 pixels (~0.92 MP) per frame 1080i 1920×1080 interlaced: 1,036,800 pixels (~1.04 MP) per field or 2,073,6...

Re: Created DVD much much smaller than original MKV file

In menu there is "open log file" and "open log folder". Anyway; your original is at least FullHD (1920x1080) and you are converting to DVD (720x576PAL or 720x480NTSC) so your actual amount of pixels is being reduced to roughly a quarter of original. That would mean a bit less tha...

Hard to say, but simply knowing that DVD9 holds max 8.5Gb, your original file is in FullHD or better quality.

Re: First few seconds of video files missing

Check details on encoding on those files that cause problems, compare with those that have no problems.
I have encountered some files that have different length on audio and video, some start audio few seconds after video etc.
