I assume it's not free to go from 1 to 2 with the standard license, though? Or at east not once it goes out of beta stage?

Re: CXtoHD - beta v6.0.0.9

It's actually 2.0.0.9. I'm tempted to try it, but I've wasted so many discs with 1.x due to issues, I am not sure if this will be too buggy. Is there any documentation anywhere on some changes in version 2.0? I never got that whole issue about discs failing to play if files were edited, too. It's to...

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

Eh, I responded to this. Not sure if my post was deleted or what. Basically I just said at some point I may try to convert again, but for now I have no idea which logs go with which projects I did (which worked and which didn't). But I also can't understand how it did not easily get reproduced by yo...

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

Hello, Sounds like you have done some good troubleshooting I will try and reproduce your problem tomorrow. Can you tell me if cuts alone will create the issue, or do I need to cut merged files? Does the the cut section, happen over two files, or inside one file that is merged? Also, the titles with...

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

Posting a new post where it will show as unread, just to be sure staff sees it. The problem is the cutting. I just did a FRESH project and made cuts in many titles, and the disc did not work, yet again. All you need to do to repeat my test is add 14 titles (probably any number over a few will work),...

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

Yep. I proved it now. The issue is when you cut or merge in a lot of titles. (it could maybe happen if you only do it for one title, I don't know, I only tested with doing it to many). I burned a disc with the same 1 minute title repeated more than 30 times in the project. It burned properly. I then...

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

Is there a particular rules of thumb on how much room to leave? I know on DVDs people used to say 200MB, but if you go by percentages then a BD-50 would need 2GB of free space, and that's just a lot of wasted space. I know I never had a problem burning to around 45 and 1/2 GB, so maybe I will try to...

Check For Update

Why does check for update say I am using the latest version when my version is 1.3.0.29 and on here it says the latest version is 1.3.0.39 and that it's a public version?

Also I am curious which resize method was used to cause issue 0010508 in the version log.

Re: What Could Be Wrong?

edit: I updated to 1.3.0.39 and the issue when moving the slider to cut after merging files has seemed to have been fixed. I don't see it listed in fixes in the version logs, but when I tested it, the slider can move past the merge point properly now, it seems. I'm not sure whether to attempt burnin...

What Could Be Wrong?

Repeatedly, when I burn discs convertxtohd says burned iso file successfully, imgburn says burned to disc successfully, when I put it in the BR player, it recognizes it as a BR, yet when I play it, it never has the disc menu come up and then goes back to the Blu-ray player menu as if it couldn't be ...

Re: Latest CXHD beta version - 1.3.0.26

I had a weird issue recently. When using the cut feature I pressed play on the video BEFORE ever clicking the cut button, and all of a sudden tons and tons of error messages kept popping up. it never ended. they kept on and on and on more and more error messages. It probably had 100 or more by the t...

Re: Major Issues

I noticed my bank discs say version 1.2. So it's possible maybe the burner came out before that version and the firmware did address it. I don't know. I hate to waste a disc trying again, though, and making an ISO file first wastes more time. Another problem I mentioned in one of these was windows e...

Re: Encoding Quality

For those who want to know what I have learned from testing: Yes, very short project gives better bitrates in this program than short project does. Or worded in a better way, for lengths over x it lowers the bitrates while still calling it short project (even very short project doesn't always mean i...

Re: Encoding Quality

I don't know what to think. I just tested again and indeed it did the same thing. If I do lesser time on a project, the same titles have bigger converted files, meaning it's converting at a higher bitrate even though both are short project. So it's different than convertxtoDVD, but as far as I know ...

Re: Major Issues

I already "did" search online and everything I was finding only had suggestions and nobody coming back saying it worked, except maybe one person. Again, why would a burner that came out only a few years ago and was capable of burning to 128GB discs when it came out oddly not capable of bur...

Re: Major Issues

In my opinion, software could cause something that weird. Look at the weird issues people have reported on here, such as the one person who said this program tried to burn a data disc! And in fact when I asked someone else about those rings, they thought I was burning a data disc and said it may be ...

Encoding Quality

I am confused on how to get the best quality with this program, as it seems they have changed how a lot of things work, in comparison to convertxtoDVD. Unless they made major changes related to this in xtoDVD 5. only have version 4. From my tests with convertxtoHD, it looks like using automatic does...

Re: Major Issues

It worked properly this time. Thanks. There's just no way to be sure what went wrong last time. I did update the firmware on the drive, but I highly doubt old firmware would cause such as weird problem. My guess is something odd was done by this program when burning straight to disc. Now the disc th...

Re: Major Issues

Thanks. I will try that. I had imgburn in the past, but removed it for some reason. I hope there is not something wrong with my drive. I just updated the firmware, but am worried I messed that up, too, because it was confusing, saying it was for my model, then in the txt file with the firmware sayin...
