I stand to be corrected, I think that the attached log window went away with the introduction of version 7.
I had all the versions of 7 since alpha but unfortunately lost everything when my HDD crashed.
I can trace it back to version 7.0.0.28 and it was already gone by then.

VSO are trying to get the "cleanest" possible version before moving on to the 64bit version. In simple terms, version 7.0.0.64 has also been buggy to a certain extent .

I can't imagine what happened. Since you are still using the same PC, you still have the same computer ID.
I'll try to contact VSO support.

Just to put in my two bit: When I have to deal with subtitles which contain first and last line of advertising, I would remove just the text on the number one entry and delete everything on the bottom. So far I've never had any problems.

Have you ever tested this issue on another player ?

"Personnaliser" appears in the Template Editor. It is in all color changing options.
