Re: Blu-Ray to DVD File Sizes

I find that hard to believe as most commercial 1h44 min DVD's are at least DVD5 size. Additionally, as someone else posted, the action scenes are more likely to be pixelated. I appreciate the information and your testing. Also jim9977, thanks for the pm info. Most commercial DVDs are made to be mor...

Re: Blu-Ray to DVD File Sizes

Before you go any further: bigger bitrate does NOT equal better quality.
There are many other factors involved.
Sure, there are programs that always fill DVD, they simply pad the file.

Re: Blu Ray Converter Ultimate Won't load any Blu ray disks

If the cause of this problem is BR+ or AACS protection then it will only prevent BR discs from being accessed.
DVD or any other format, even older BR discs are not affected at all.

Re: Blu Ray Converter Ultimate Won't load any Blu ray disks

If your system is obeying all rules with BR discs and you try to watch a BR movie on your system then system has to lock the chain from BR drive to display via gfx controller. That is required for official BR playing. If that happens then you can't access that disc, maybe nothing else neither. Check...

Re: Is my system vulnerable when running this software?

Your system is totally safe if you are using original versions downloaded from VSO website.
It does not modify any firewall settings, and it does not need to be online after download if you are afraid.

Re: Conversion to DVD doesn't created .ifo & .bup files

When creating fully compliant DVD those files must be there. There are other targets you can convert to which do not require all the same files as DVD does. a .vob file with a grey speckle background with "VSO Software SARL" in the middle That small vob is just a dummy, as many players exp...

If conversion is not finished properly for some reason, then there will not be those files.
Successful conversion produces those files.

Conversion log shows more information, paste it here.

Re: DVD to 720p MKV conversion 700MB

Check those releases again, many of those are 720 pixels wide but not 480 or 576 pixels high, so they are only DVD quality. Some do have 1280 pixels width (as should be with 720p standard) but height is still a lot less. There is also a lot of factors that affect size of finished conversion so it is...

You should not do anything, VSO has to fix this.
Workaround now is to create folder "test" in drive c: root.

Maybe nobody has a solution because they are not getting that error?

Usual causes for that type of error are fixed by VSO Clean and reinstall.

Not necessarily, it can be set from locale settings.
Go to Control Panel - Clock Language and Region - Region and Language - Additional settings to check what you have there.

Re: No Customer support? What gives?

I bought the DVD converter program and it does not work as promised. You need to be a little more precise on your problem. Has anyone had a similar problem and resolved it? What problem? These forums are VSO:s first aid, in some rare cases user is helped with remote assistance, and usually all help...

Re: DVD Converter: new beta version available! (2.1.1.13)

Copnm: one thing that VSO can not change;
- Change "," to ".", ei. "20,96%" to "20.96%". Again, I don't think this is a big issue. Maybe a grammatical error?
Decimal point/comma is provided by OS and it selects it according to your system locale settings.
