Re: Targetsize to small ?
Hello HarryHirsch, Since you have the original source, the Blu-Ray in your case, try using Short Project. Don't judge by the size of the outcome. The program uses the best encoding settings 90%+ of the time. If you want even better quality, try using 2 pass, best video quality, and Lanczos if you wa...

Re: DVD Converter: new beta version available! (2.1.1.13)
Copnm: one thing that VSO can not change; - Change "," to ".", ei. "20,96%" to "20.96%". Again, I don't think this is a big issue. Maybe a grammatical error? Decimal point/comma is provided by OS and it selects it according to your system locale settings. Tha...

Re: DVD Converter: new beta version available! (2.1.1.13)
Hello VSO family. I recently installed the latest beta version of DVD Converter 2 and have a few things to say about what I've noticed so far. I've constructed a list of both what I'd like to see in a later version and bugs I've encountered. Here's a list of my suggestions: - Display the overall con...

Re: DVD Converter Wish List
Thank you for your reply, Claire! Show the percentage converted in Windows' Aero like ConvertXtoDVD does. You do not see this, it is already integrated. Yes and no. I see the Aero "green process" overlay, but I meant the way ConvertXtoDVD does it; the percentage shown in the title as well....

Re: Video Cards for Conversion
Hello Kahless,
It's true that VSO's DVD Converter utilizes hardware for acceleration. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Radeon (correct me if I'm wrong), but support NVIDIA's CUDA. If you have spare cash, you can always pick up one. I recommend the GT 430 or stronger.

Re: Can you recommend a good video player to replace Windows
Hey Elroy, I've tried those popular video players such as Windows Media Player Classic, VLC Player, BS Player, etc. But to me, nothing beats the simplicity and effectiveness of Mirillis' Splash Player. Mirillis offers 3 packages: Splash Player Lite, which is free. Splash Player PRO, which is a paid ...

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
Hi Cedric, thank you for your response! I use the trial, so only 10 minutes gets converted. I'll convert again using both profiles, and will post both logs and the specs of both files. EDIT: Here's the log containing the conversion log of both profiles and the media info for both files. Here's a lis...

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
Hello Claire, thank you for your response! I used the same movie in both cases. It's the actual DVD, Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I used the program to convert it to MKV using the H.264/H.264 CUDA video codec respectively and remuxed the audio for both. Here's the log for the H.264 CUDA copy, since it's th...

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
I have a problem with the new version (1.4.0.8). The remuxing works great now, I'm grateful for that. The size limit box is still greyed and the estimated final filesize still says 0 bytes, but no errors are found when I press Start. When using the H.264 video codec (the one using only the CPU to en...

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.7)
I have a problem with the new version (1.4.0.7). When any codec is set to remux, the size limit greys out and the estimated final filesize becomes 0 bytes. When you press start, it runs an error. BR_and_DVD_Converters.log EDIT: I also notice that the max filesize in the log is incredibly larger than...

Re: DVD Converter Wish List
Thank for your reply, Cedric. I look forward in seeing everything implemented in upcoming revisions! EDIT: I have 3 more suggestions: 1) This is can be optional, but I believe having the preview off at default will make the conversion process faster. I know it can be disabled, but someone might forg...

DVD Converter Wish List
Hey VSO. First off, I'd like to say that I love what you guys are doing as a group and I'm just curious as to what future options there will be for this program! What I'd like to see are (most of these ideas come from ConvertXtoDVD and other competitive programs): - Multicore processor optimization....
