Re: Update on a new version?
Thanks for the clarification! I was not aware a CXD updated signed driver package was released along with the others.

Update on a new version?
It seems VSO released 3 new software updates today:
VSO Blu-ray Converter 4.0.0.102
VSO DVD Converter 4.0.0.102
VSO ConvertXtoVideo 2.0.0.102
So, any chance of an update on a new version of CXD?
Thanks!

VSO DVD Converter 4.0.0.102
VSO ConvertXtoVideo 2.0.0.102
So, any chance of an update on a new version of CXD?
Thanks!

Re: Can you embed “two” different subtitles?
I doubt there's a way you can burn in, or embed, two different SRT files into a Title in CXD. I've not worked much externally with subtitle files, but there may be other apps that can merge two SRT files together into one subtitle file that could then be used with CXD.

Re: Does anyone know why DVD+R.....
As I said elsewhere on this issue, I would invest in a 2nd USB burner. Particularly a different make and manufacturer than the one you're currently using, especially if it, too, is a USB drive. That way, you can isolate if it's a hardware problem. If the 2nd USB burner works fine, you know it's not ...

Re: Does anyone know why DVD+R.....
If you purchase Verbatim DVD media, you have to purchase the RIGHT Verbatim DVD media. Don't get the Life Series you find in brick and mortar stores. Those will be CMC, which will cause no end of possible issues. You'll want the DataLife Plus Series (NOT Life.) that you can only find at online store...

Re: Screen resolution
As far as I know, DVD is capped at 720x480. You won't get any higher resolution than that on a DVD player. The other application mentioned will create higher resolution files and will write them to DVD discs, fitting them to the size of the DVD I would guess, but I would also bet the image quality w...

Re: without changing my settings I had a problem
The choice of discs you're using could be a factor. Particularly if one problem in the past was solved by getting other discs. Particularly if you're using CMC Magentics discs. If you're using the Verbatim Life Series (not the DataLife Series), which many people use, then they will be CMC discs. And...

Re: without changing my settings I had a problem
So, you got a VIDEO_TS that was only 2 GB in size? Or was that the estimated output size? When you say it wants to burn to a DVD-9, you were writing directly to DVD? You didn't create a VIDEO_TS folder first? Try just creating the VIDEO_TS folder as output and check its size in File Explorer. See if...

Re: without changing my settings I had a problem
Most likely, there's nothing you can do. It's the input file that's the problem. Some files just create exceedingly large VIDEO_TS files. I had a source that was less than a GB and it created a nearly full DVD-5 CXD output once. Also, the running time of the source file could be a factor. How long i...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD 7 not burning
As was said, it's the source file. More than half of the files found online are generally corrupt in some manner. You could try to see if you can fix it with a free piece of software called AVIDeMux. Load the file in that and choose a different Video option other than Copy like say x264. You may wan...

Re: Save Project as "Maj" key?
Yes, there's something like only 2 programmers working at VSO right now. So, development is slow and priorities have shifted elsewhere. In a different post I made, the roadmap reply was that VSO Downloader development was the main concentration. Then, once the latest ConvertXToHD, I think it was, wa...

Should that Maj be changed to Shift since the rest of the English installation is in English?

Save Project as "Maj" key?
The keyboard shortcut for Save Project as is "Maj+CTRL+S." What is the Maj key? I don't think I've ever heard of that before in my entire 30 years of using a PC.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Input File Location
Except for the first time default, CXD will always look in the folder you last used as an input source. If that folder doesn't exist, then I think it defaults back to its first time default. Which, again I think, is the Documents folder. So, to achieve what you want, I think all you can really do is...

Re: cutting a movie
I think I understand enough to try what you're getting. I used the latest beta, 7.0.0.73, and loaded a near 90 minute MP4 source file. I then Cut it down to the first 10 minutes only, trimming the rest from the 10 minute mark to the end. I then Cut again the first 2 minutes from the beginning, leavi...

Re: cutting a movie
Is the "latest version" 7.0.0.69 or the latest beta version? If it's the former, you might want to try to see if installing the latest beta version helps. If it's the latest beta version, try reversing those directions.

Re: converts colour to black and white video
Generally when I've seen color playing back as black and white, that's been my experience of attempting to play PAL video on my NTSC TV. However, the video is also unwatchable as it's all wavy, like those old scrambled cable channels from the 1980's and 90's like Cinemax. That shouldn't be the case ...

Re: ConvertxToDVD Frames Per Second FPS slow
Have you tried updating to 7.0.0.69, the last gold release or tried the 7.0.0.73 beta version? There are reasons to stay on older 7.x versions, though. For instance, there's an audio out of sync issue on menus in some of the newer versions.

Re: Output file size estimation
Not really. Often times, when CXD says it will require a DVD-9, the resulting generated VIDEO_TS fits on a DVD-5. Now, I've been meaning to experiment with this (Just thought about it this morning, actually.), but I think there's a way to tell CXD to make an output VIDEO_TS of X size somewhere in th...
