Re: video file locked up convertstodvd
When I encounter input that chokes CXD, the first thing I try is loading it in AVIDeMux and create a new file with a different Video codec type so, basically, an entirely new file is created. See if that helps.

Re: “Good result (Auto Long project), however
The interesting thing is, sometimes you get that note about checking to use a DVD+R DL even though the resulting VIDEO_TS project will still fit on a DVD-5. It's somewhat guesswork what the actual final results file sizes will be. I don't use 2 pass encoding because it's highly unreliable. Last time...

Re: Need Subtitles Disabled
I believe the software default is to Always display a subtitle track on playback. So, that option is probably checked. Try unchecking that option. I know I have to uncheck it when configuration a new installation of CXD.

Re: remove watermark from video
Tech support will have to help you with that. Sometimes, the licenses don't apparently get registered on the server end. The software apparently thinks the key is not valid.

Re: ConvertXtoDVD7 and multiple video converting
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for, so let me ask you a question. Are you creating a main menu or just making a DVD where the video plays straight through when you insert/play it? If you're not creating a main menu, I would think you may want to. That way, you can jump to a particular titl...

Yes, it was sounding more and more like the source file was the problem to begin with.

Re: Subtitle not in sync
Yes, did you do any editing to the source video to remove content before importing it into CXD? If you did, then the subtitles would be out of sync because the video file is not the same size anymore. You probably didn't edit the source file, but I'm covering all the bases. Or, did you use the trim ...

Re: Audio Level Normalization
While I can't answer your dB question, here's a suggestion to keep from using expensive DVD+R DL discs to test with. Change the output in CXD to create a VIDEO_TS folder on the HDD. Then, open the VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO file in something like Media Player Classic Home Cinema. You can test the output ...

Re: Conversion cancelled by user
As I said, reading the log file was a bit like cuneiform. :) I wasn't entirely sure the Grave Digger file was problematic. Turns out it wasn't. Which is why I do the troubleshooting of trying to convert each individual file one by one to see if there's a corrupt file in there somewhere.

Re: Conversion cancelled by user
Try converting each file in CXD one at a time on their own, saving the VIDEO_TS output each time somewhere. Then, after each conversion, try importing each VIDEO_TS.IFO file to add each stream. This will 1.) determine which file is the problem, one at a time 2.) if each file converts on its own, the...

Re: Conversion cancelled by user
I'm not entirely sure how to read the CXD log files, but it seems the program is choking on a particular file. Grave Digger 30th Anniversary.mp4. I would try converting it from an MP4 to another file format like MKV with a free program called AVIDeMux. I'd also change the Video codec to x264. Whenev...

Re: How to assign rules that make a dvdR play just like a common dvd???
Some DVD players, like the PS3, allow you to skip to individual Titles the user can choose. An OSD prompt comes up and displays the current Title, say 3, and other information. You can then change the 3 to, say, 5, and Title 5 starts playing. Without creating a menu in CXD on your DVD, I can't see a...

Re: remove watermark from video
Are you talking about the one ConvertXtoDVD adds after your trial period has expired? If so, buying and entering your license should do that. If you still get that watermark after entering your license, that's something tech support needs to know. If you mean remove a watermark that was already exis...

Re: Conversion Failed
If they're hardcoded subtitles, they're "burned" in. Meaning they're part of the video. They can't be turned off because, technically, they're embedded in the video. If you do any editing to a file in AVIDeMux and it has subtitles, AVIDeMux will not save the subtitles because it cannot edi...

I don't have a license for ConvertXToVideo, so I can't use that. But, I do have a license for Wondershare Filmora. :)

Re: Replacing the video in a title?
The problem is I need the original video replaced with another video stream. So, I can add AAC just fine to a CXD imported video, but I need the original video to be different. I need the original video replaced with a still image. So, that apparently requires creating a whole new video file because...

Re: Replacing the video in a title?
Ah, your suggestion gave me an idea I didn't think of. I can extract the audio from the video I have as an AAC file with AVIDeMux. Then, use Wondershare Filmora to convert the AAC file to video MP4. It allows the use of a still image over the course of an audio file when converted to video. Then, I ...

Replacing the video in a title?
Is it possible to replace the video in a title added to CXD? What I want to do is import a video file and keep its audio track, but replace the video with a different video. Preferably, a still image that displays for the length of the audio, but I will accept the ability to just replace the video w...

Re: First DVD
The only thing I can think of that might do this is you're selecting 16:9 versus 4:3 for output. That's the only thing I can think of that would add bars to the top and bottom of video. Under the options, under Output, under Output Format, under Aspect ratio, it's probably set to Automatic or if it ...

Re: Conversion Failed
Well, I can't figure out precisely why it fails in groups of 3 and not individually, but the culprit is most likely the codec used in the original files. CXD doesn't play nice with all codecs out there, so sometimes conversion with something like AVIDeMux fixes the problem. Why AVIDeMux probably did...
