Re: Blu-Ray to DVD True HD 5.1 error

I have not tested this; but it is possible that previous versions were not properly checking audio format when converting to DVD and they just muxed TrueHD tracks to DVD. These DVDs will not play sound on any older DVD player, nor any DVD player that does not have "extras" in it. You can p...

Re: Direct 3d not detected

Confirm the bug, on XP it starts playing but no picture in DX mode.
In 7 I get that error, so there is something wrong with DX detection.

Re: VSO & XBMC & Windows Media Center

How about NOT using ISO files?
Movies are just folders inside that ISO, so playing those is most likely easier without need to mount/dismount ISO.
All you need to do is to mount each ISO once, copy contents of each to separate folder, preferably named as movie.

Re: Automatic Highest Quality Download Setting?

It does it if sending site supports it.
Most sites do not, they send what ever user has selected before, or they always start sending low quality unless user clicks and selects high quality.

Re: Blu-ray converter 2.1.1.4, beta version available!

Tried 2.1.1.4 with Galactica The Plan BR. Set to no limit file size, mkv FullHD Cuda. Pressed convert - program crashed. Is there still a problem with Cuda or was this just bad luck? Or because I tried to convert directly from actual BR disc with AnyDVD removing protection "on-the-fly"? Th...

Re: No streaming detection / network adapter problem

It seems that this is not a problem with VSO Downloader, this is a problem with WinPCap and XP with two or more identical NICs.

http://www.mail-archive.com/winpcap-use ... 00226.html

Try with only one NIC connected, should work just fine.

Re: Burn speed

That is not burn speed you are referring to; it is total time including conversion.
To speed up conversion - clean your system, delete temp-files and trash, defrag all drives, shut down unused programs, don't use computer during conversion.

Why?
Most users want to close program when you select close, minimizing hides it to system tray.

Re: No streaming detection / network adapter problem

Downloader uses WinPcap to capture packets. This is from FAQ of WinPcap: Q-10: Does WinPcap work in connection with personal firewalls? A: We got several reports saying that WinPcap does not work well if a personal firewall is installed on the same machine as WinPcap. The typical problem is the impo...

Re: Audio and video not in sync

Just a simple thing to try - clock your CPU to normal speed and try again.
Overclocking is known to cause any kind of weird errors, even preventing Windows installation.
Most programs prohibit overclocking; it is always done on your own responsibility and any problems arising are ignored.

If you want to use standard DVD on normal stand-alone player then only option is DVD compliant mpg-stream.
ConvertXtoDVD makes this very well and is easy to use.
