Re: PAL to NTSC conversions errors

I uploaded the first minute of an input file to the requested repository. It didn't matter if I used DVDShrink to isolate the 1 minute of footage or used the VIDEO_TS extracted from the source disc. If I play the contents I uploaded in Media Player Classic Home Cinema, there is no pause the start of...

Re: PAL to NTSC conversions errors

The output is a VIDEO_TS folder, but I first noticed it playing a disc I burned with a VIDEO_TS. Even when VIDEO_TS.IFO is played from hard disk in Media Player Classic Home Cinema, it happens. Now, I didn't think about this, but all 3 PAL discs I tested input with are somewhat identical. They were ...

PAL to NTSC conversions errors

PAL to NTSC conversions all have the same problem with 7.0.0.80. I tried 3 different PAL DVD's and got the same results. What happens is the output begins with paused video. When the playback resumes, it is missing the first few seconds of the audio. I haven't done a PAL to NTSC conversion in a long...

Re: Conversion canceled by user

I wasn't entirely certain extracting the files to SRT and importing that into CXD would work, but it apparently would.

Re: Conversion canceled by user

Oh, you did. I overlooked that. Unfortunately, the "laws" of actual RAM versus virtual memory aren't, well, laws. For instance, how can a web browser like Firefox, take up more than 50% of available RAM with just a few tabs open? You could try changing the defaults of Windows virtual memor...

Re: Conversion canceled by user

Whatever CXD is doing at that point when the virtual memory low occurs, it is apparently writing a lot of data to the swapfile. This would depend on the size of the input file and whatever processing is being done. That could, also, be related to what kind of video compression is used on the source ...

Re: Conversion canceled by user

[quote=eddie11013 post_id=108798 time=1677871808 user_id=106580] Actually I have a write up on that: MKV Subtitle Extractor = MKVExtractGUI-2 Don’t see how that would help. I mean the subtitles work fine when I view the ‘mkv’ files on my desktop PC. If the conversion ‘fails’ with the subtitle tracks...

Re: Conversion canceled by user

I don't know how you'd do this, but I would think there must be software out there that can extract the subtitle track from a container file. Then, you could manually add this .SRT, which I'd guess it would be, file as a user added subtitle track in CXD.

Re: Converting Blu-Ray to DVD

Ah! I didn't see the Older Products category.

So, would ConvertXToVideo do a better job of it or Blu-Ray Converter?

Re: Converting Blu-Ray to DVD

CXD mentions using Blu-Ray Converter for such a task I mentioned, but I did not see such an application offered on VSO's website when I checked.

Converting Blu-Ray to DVD

The way CXD currently works, it will convert a Blu-Ray source to DVD, but it will only convert the main feature title Any other streams or extras are not available for input. I'm looking for something that will convert all available title sets from a Blu-Ray to DVD. Would VSO's ConvertXToVideo do th...

Re: Problem with ConvertXtodvd 7.0.0.78

I was not aware the burn logs displays the MID/DID, but if you do see a Disc ID that has CMC in it, those are CMC Magnetics discs. They are the absolute bottom of the barrel manufacturer. Their discs cause a lot of problems. If you are going to use Verbatim, be sure you use the RIGHT Verbatim as CMC...

Re: Problem with ConvertXtodvd 7.0.0.78

Have you tried creating VIDEO_TS output to HDD and opening VIDEO_TS.IFO in playback software on your PC? Do you still get skips and jumps in playback then? If you don't, then it's the discs you're using or your drive is not burning those discs properly. Have you tried playing these burnt discs in bo...

Re: Code more than 2 files?

Oh, so you were trying to Merge title sets unintentionally? Instead of adding each one as a separate Title? I haven't tried Merging titles in a while, but I do know it worked for more than 2 inputs some time ago. Let me test Merging more than 2 files and see if it's a bug in Merging titles. If it is...

Re: Code more than 2 files?

Then, it sounds like you've got a Windows issue. Unless you backup Windows regularly, these kinds of solutions, which can generally only be fixed by restoring back to when the software worked, is to completely reinstall Windows. I would hold off on that, though, until a last resort. And what I'd do ...

Did you try the suggested full uninstall and reinstall where you checked the 3 boxes to remove all existing configurations, files, etc.?

Re: popup box come up with Enabled video streaming

It's not so much the version of Windows you have as the type of PC you have. An older PC may be 32 bit, which will not run the 64 bit version of a program. And only some older versions of AVIDeMux are 32 bit.

You will most likely want the Windows x64 version, as that's the most common Windows install now. But, you may have an older PC.

Re: popup box come up with Enabled video streaming

No problem. No, AVIDeMux is not software that will create a DVD. AVIDeMux will just create a new MP4, etc. container file, like the one you're having trouble getting CXD to use. You just load the new AVIDeMux saved MP4 file in place of the file you were loading that wasn't working in CXD. Then see i...

Re: popup box come up with Enabled video streaming

Try what I suggested. :) While it isn't a DVD converter, it should convert your file to a file CXD won't choke on. I do it every time CXD chokes on an input and I can't think of a single time where it didn't fix the issue.
