Re: Import metadata option
There should be a reference for chapter points. However if I were you I would choose not to use metadata.
It has always caused more trouble for me than being useful.

Re: Import metadata option
What exactly does the Import metadata option do? What metadata is imported from files if they contain them? Does metadata include chapter points for containers that have them? Thanks! Metadata is the information about the file being imported. CX7 is supposed to use that data to help process the fil...

Re: Question about running a project
I always deselect "Do not create menu ............", yet everything still works normally. I will check about what you said about the template editor. BTW, is it just now that you are getting these problems ? I'm asking because it appears from your profile that you have been using CX since ...

Re: Question about running a project
I suggest that you uninstall the version you're using and start off with a "clean" installation. To get a clean installation. Install the version which you intend to use (for me 7.0.0.61 works fine). During the installation tick the 3 options on the lower part of the interphase. This will ...

Re: Question about running a project
I wanted to completely eliminated the audio and video that plays on sub menus. Is there way to do that? Set playback duration to 0 seconds, maybe? Thanks! Yes you can. Check the following settings: Get to Advanced Edit as in the first picture. Go to Menu Options to do any required adjustments, as i...

Re: Question about running a project
I've often thought of toying around with the template editor. Basically, all I'd like to do is take the default menu and settings CXD provides for projects and change the menu option so there aren't animated menus. Can the template editor do that? Yes it can. This is what I have just told you furth...

Re: Question about running a project
To disable the menu animations go here
Please note that in the most recent version disabling the animations causes the buttons overlays to stop working.
This is a new reported bug.
In any case, I suggest you use a past version from here:

Re: Ver 7.0.0.56 (and v.52)
New builds are meant to solve bug problems. But could possibly create other bugs since not all computer structures are the same. Better stick to the application build that works best on your PC. As for myself the most recent build which works best on my PC is version 7.0.0.61. With the more recent I...

Re: Problem converting MKV file
What sometimes works for me is to use MKVToolnix to get the audio and the video elements as separate files. Then remux them again using the same application or some other, perhaps changing the container.

Re: Dvd doesn't play in dvd player
Can you try another burning software ?
Also, keep the burning speed low, although some insist that it doesn't matter as long at the rated speed is used.
One other thing which comes to my mind is that the player is not recognising the region. BUT THIS IS JUST A TAUGHT.

Re: Dvd doesn't play in dvd player
There are cases when the media is not compatible with the player. Start off by trying another media brand. There are also cases where in time the lazer or its adjustment causes errors. I have experienced both cases. In your case I don't think it is the movie file or the application. The best bet, in...

Re: Question about running a project
I hardy ever use animated menus. I find them a waste of time. But it is still good to have option to activate animation.
In recent versions there is a serious bug with the menu audio when set from the movie itself. It always begin from the start of the movie

Re: Question about running a project
I'm using version 7.0.0.61, at least for the time being.
I think it is the one with the least serious bugs.
For example; The audio in the menus begins exactly as set, not always from the begining of the movie.

Re: Tip for successful burning of DVDs especially DL
While burning at low speed can at times eliminate errors during burning. It would make all the difference if the brands of the media are the ones suggest by the burner makers. And to make sure that they are genuine. Another good rule is not to fill the media right to the outer edges since that is th...

Re: Question about running a project
i sometimes rename folders, only to get issues wih CXtoDVD not finding the files, no longer a problem....think if VSO could confirm this, it should be added to a sticky for everyone thanks For the project file to work, it must find all the resources as saved. If you rename folders or move any of th...
