Re: Subtitle not in sync
On computer file is usually played at fps that is was created to be played and player checks that frames are played on correctly.
On DVD it is played according equipment specification, and that might be totally different, causing small drifting (23.97 vs 24 for example)

Re: Subtitle not in sync
In most cases problem is due different framerates.
Every second timing of subtitles drifts more off when this is the case.
If they "jump" off and then stay same amount off then those subtitles are for different version or video file has been edited.

Re: How to assign rules that make a dvdR play just like a common dvd???
That is not the standard way to play DVD. What are you using to play DVDs?
Standard is very simple, if you remove DVD from player or press STOP then you go to main menu or first title and start playback from there.

Re: How to assign rules that make a dvdR play just like a common dvd???
You should have them correct the way you have them. But do you have main menu?
From there you should be able to select which one to watch.
If there is no main menu then it is play from beginning, one after another. Stopping at any point forces back to first title.

Re: How to assign rules that make a dvdR play just like a common dvd???
This is not so simple. First your DVD player has settings on how to play/stop/continue etc. Then you can create DVD that has no menu, only one or multiple titles. Those can not be selected to play in any other way than continuous play. If you stop that in any stage then it goes to start again. You n...

Re: Authoring SD video without re-encoding
Yes, it is compliant. But it is split.
DVD video has different frames, some are needed for keeping sync etc.
You can't just copy paste together those split files. You need to create needed frames and sync data. That forces re-encoding.

Re: Authoring SD video without re-encoding
Video in DVD is in .vob files, each have 0.99Gb. So any movie is in several pieces.
How do you suppose authoring without re-encoding? Just copy/paste?

Re: DTS-HD audio automatically converting to AC-3
Found this: DTS-HD Master Audio may be transported to AV receivers in 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 channels and DTS-HD Master Audio, previously known as DTS++, is the second of two DTS-HD audio formats. It supports a virtually unlimited number of surround sound channels, can deliver audio quality at bit rates e...

Re: Warning To Spammers
Spammers are active again, everyday a few are trying.
You may have noticed postings on old topics or simple "nice information, thank you" style.
I have checked everyone and last two weeks all of them were spammers from India IP address and are reported as spammers so I delete them.

Re: Conversion Failed
I've got another TV series with (I assume) hardcoded subtitles (no separate srt file) Without more details there can be no definite answer. You need to find out what kind of subtitles are those, and of course what type of video is in that file. If those subtitles are NOT in converted file then they...

Re: Activation & Downloads
All downloads are depending on source. Some can be downloaded easily, some require updates to software as source is updated etc.
In general it downloads videos and mp3s just fine.

Re: First DVD
It depends on many things:
what is your TV, 4:3 or 16:9?
what is your source file AR? It might be more than 16:9 so there will always be bars.

Re: Conversion Failed
Big problem currently is all the new codecs and different formats; AVI, MP4 and MKV are all containers that can contain different streams with different encoding. All these containers have rules on what can be in them to keep standard. Sadly many groups that are releasing files are using non-standar...

Re: Downloader no longer auto recognize / my NICs
Check that your NIC has manufacturer drivers; very often Windows update swaps Microsoft drivers as "they are newer" but in many cases those generic MS drivers do not have the functionality that is provided by manufacturer drivers.

Or simply wait for 64bit version of CxD. That should be able to handle all new codecs without problems.
