Re: Downscaling from 2160p

Out of desperation, I pulled up a transcoder I've used with great success, in the past. I re-encoded one of the files from 2160 to 720. It played just fine, but it will take almost 20 hours to re-encode 4 more episodes. Once they're all done, I'll see how CXD handles the 720 versions. No reason it s...

links to go to 4k, but not other way http://blog.vso-software.fr/4k/ https://www.vso-software.fr/guides/converters-custom-profile-editor.php I don't get it. I would think downscaling would be far more reliable & simpler to achieve than upscaling, but it sure hasn't turned out to to be the case, in ...

Re: Downscaling from 2160p

Two pass encoding didn't help the least tiny bit. This may not be an option with CXD7.

Downscaling from 2160p

I have a set of MKVs of a TV series. It's in UHD 2160p. I want to convert them to DVD. I used my usual settings & the Lanczos filter, medium project (5 episodes per disc), 5GB output size, single pass, high quality, removed all but one subtitle track & normalized the 5.1 audio track. The processing ...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.50

If version 4 did subtitles so much better, why not run a conversion under V4, then extract the VOB subs (picture form, not SRT) & then merge them back in with a conversion run under V6? Using the VOB subs will retain the quality of the V4 render, but then let it be put back into the V6 conversion. Y...

Now, that's funny. Everyone was complaining that V5 rendered subs so much worse than V4. Now you're touting it as an example of better than V6!

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.48

The bugs site requires you to create a different account - it does not use the same account info as that related to our forum, but you still try and create an account with the same username and password . . . that is up to you. Thanks, Claire. I hadn't understood a completely separate account was r...

@Claire Any progress on following: Thanks for reporting I confirm and opened a bug report here http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=11579 Again, don't know how to open 'bug' report - When I click on link, it wants me to log in, but it won't accept my password. I've had the same problem since day...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.35

So...anyone else not able to get the "Don't create title menu for single title" option to work in 6.x? It's actually never worked for me in this release...I always get a menu with a single item. In 5.x, the DVD would start playing automatically with this and "auto start playback" checked. I've alwa...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.33

a question Is there any way to bypass Cinevia Protection of DVDs that converted by CXD? Not by anything I've read about it. That protection is encoded directly into the audio stream & can't be removed. There have been many attempts, but it's a statistical method without a systematic pattern. If the...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.30

In version 6.0.0.27 I can no longer open image files (IMG) directly, but must mount them as drives before CXD will open them, by pointing to the IFO file. Trying to select the IMG as a file to process simply blinks & clears the screen without loading the IMG file. ISO still seems to work. Also, once...

But there is a obvious difference between source and output color
The aspect ratio between your samples is also skewed. Don't know if you did that in the capture & repost or if they actually processed that way, but the first one is stretched vertically.

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - ßeta v6.0.0.23 is in the works...

Hi, v6.0.0.23 is in the works, seems there has been several issues with v6.0.0.21 and v6.0.0.22 with the templates, so when v6.0.0.23 comes out, I suggest you stick with v6.0.0.20 or try v6.0.0.23ßeta to see if all your issues are resolved... It is a good idea to keep at least the best working vers...

6.0.0.20 still has stuttering audio when played back in MPC-HC. Other players have no problems.

Re: CX6 Audio Issue

Regarding the audio issue. From some tests I ran yesterday and today, it appears that the problem is coming from dual audio. I worked on a mkv and mpg movies. I tested with a single audio stream and dual audio. Single stream works file for both stereo and 5.1. The problem arises when there are mult...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.19

Something changed with the last few versions of ConvertXtoDVD. I switched to an older version (5.3.0.15) and the audio plays perfectly using the latest MPC-HC (1.7.10). I also have the box checked that says 'Convert DTS to AC3' in ConvertXtoDVD. I'm going to try PotPlayer (https://potplayer.daum.ne...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.19

Tried VLC and it plays those converted movies without skipping. The only thing I can come up with is that converxtodvd introduced something that is causing MPC-HC to mess up with only convertxtodvd converted movies. Edit: Just played a stock DVD movie on the DVD player on the same computer using MP...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - official version 6.0.0.18

I'm so glad you posted your findings. I've been following your posts because I'm having the exact same issue. I also use the latest version of MPC-HC and it never occurred to me that the problem was the playback of a CXD converted video in MPC-HC. The stuttering audio was driving me crazy! I assume...
