Re: Option Request

Why?
Most users want to close program when you select close, minimizing hides it to system tray.

Re: No streaming detection / network adapter problem

Downloader uses WinPcap to capture packets. This is from FAQ of WinPcap: Q-10: Does WinPcap work in connection with personal firewalls? A: We got several reports saying that WinPcap does not work well if a personal firewall is installed on the same machine as WinPcap. The typical problem is the impo...

Re: Audio and video not in sync

Just a simple thing to try - clock your CPU to normal speed and try again.
Overclocking is known to cause any kind of weird errors, even preventing Windows installation.
Most programs prohibit overclocking; it is always done on your own responsibility and any problems arising are ignored.

If you want to use standard DVD on normal stand-alone player then only option is DVD compliant mpg-stream.
ConvertXtoDVD makes this very well and is easy to use.

Just checked and you are correct, that one is missing.
VSO needs to check on this, most likely next week.

Did you use that form to request new key?
It will pop up second window after it confirms your account, in that you will see all that are available to you.

Two options;

- convert without title menu
- set your DVD player to play title instead of going to title menu

Re: cinevia

Sadly removing copy protection is illegal in Europe, so it is also illegal to sell programs that can remove copy protection in Europe.
VSO is from France so they have to obey those laws.
There might be some 3rd party programs that can remove it, but you need to find it yourself.

Re: Converting Blu-Ray Files

If your source files are in BR resolution (1920x1080) then they will almost always look better converted to BR.
Converting to DVD resolution (720x576PAL/480NTSC) loses a lot of detail.

You need to check on settings that it is making that. mkv is container and can contain almost anything.
BDP S580 accepts only that one format in mkv container.

Re: Sony BDP S580 Problem

Some users have reported problems with mkv after updating their S580 firmware.
Most likely this will be fixed with new firmware update as this is Sony problem.

Of course you need to ensure that mkv contains MPEG-4 AVC, as it is only format Sony supports in mkv.

Re: Media player for 3D videos

3D technology is totally different from traditional.
You need special glasses or monitor to see 3D content.
Most glasses and monitors have their own drivers and players to display 3D properly.

paulredge: what is common on your systems? Something that is not on my or VSOs? You do have that problem, but if we can't find how to reproduce it, it might be impossible to fix. If you get same problem with different computers then it has to be something common with those computers. Any program tha...
