Well i could do some guessing and say that this file is to no set standard as in it does not meet ATSC new standard (hopefully VSO knows of the broadcasting change) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATSC so converting it may produce a choppy picture....

Well i think with any Access Violation problem you have to run again at default settings this log shows a menu and 2x encoding etc...

Get rid of all that so it just converts the file to DVD then we know striaght away if it`s the file at fault.

How are you checking to see how many cores are in use...

You have 4 cores that use two threads in each core...

Core2Quad uses all the cores as, one main core taking most of the load and the others at 20-25%

Kung Fu Panda *XviD* - DVDRIP - ARROW

This release is out of sync Kung.Fu.Panda.SYNCFiX.DVDRip.XviD-NARROW had a go at making it better and failed

Basicly the audio is in sync at the beginning, requires a correction of about -100ms by midway and a correction of about -225ms by the end credits.

Cougar_II I`ve noticed that animation films always encode faster than general films, when the optimized version comes out try on a general non-animated film on comparison. Even tho different setups will give a different result a specific linkable film would be good in the thread for several people t...

Sure no problem but yet again i said nothing about you being bad guys either. They don't want to be paid, they want to have L-GPL and it is not possible for this part, so we will redo it with other libs which are probably better too. This is great, finally, hopefully this will take you off their dod...

they must have a deal via a sub company.... :D Why (in general) didn`t you want to work with ffmpeg as a whole tho? would this be a benfit? i know you have tweaked their code so it cannot be imported into other ffmpeg programs but the benifit of the extra features would help you in the long run. I haven`t said anything about being lame or doing the software for free (translation problem?) the only point i was puting accross is you used something that people thought you should of paid for and you didn`t, even when asked...for years, in fact because you didn`t have a licence at all how does t...

...nor a quick GUI for libavcodec/libavformat straight out of the box. so it's not easily interfacable with any ffmpeg related products... Going by the ffmpeg forum site i think that just saying you slightly tweaked libavcodec/libavformat doesn`t really matter, the main engine is still based on the...

Isn`t libavcodec so versatile.... Then again people could of done this yonks ago with FFDSHOW...

But better for the general users, i`m thinking you`ll have to put some sort of test encode button with it as well due to people wanting to check whats better for them before a longer project wait.
