VSO has not started to work on ConvertXtoDVD yet, and your bug report I created for you still has not been looked into.

Hopefully for you VSO will fix this soon for you.

Hopefully when VSO releases new version (or new software) to convert, hardware issues will be resolved.
As mentioned earlier, nVidia did change their internal coding on latest drivers so nothing VSO can do (for now) !

I think some H265 are ok, but ConvertXtoVideo may have issues with 4k ratios, Opus audio and VP9 Video (Never tried with ConvertXtoVideo).

Without the logs and source file it's hard to see why certain files may not work and some others yes

I would use this software, convert the file to H264 / AC3 audio using the Most Compatible profile.

Then the output will be compatible to work with ConvertXtoDVD
