Re: Problem converting MKV file

Also, try using conversion software to convert the MKV to another file container format like MP4. I've often had CXD bomb out on MKV files that worked fine when converted to MP4. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.

Re: VRO load/conversion error

Every other VRO I've ever fed into ConvertXToDVD, including one I made just a few weeks ago, works fine. And they were all made by the same Panasonic recorder. Turns out it's something intrinsic in this one VRO. I made a smaller test VRO with 4 2 minute recordings and CXD imported that VRO fine. The...

VRO load/conversion error

I submitted this bug through the bug reporting tool in 7.0.0.68, but I've discovered some more pertinent information that invalidates a previous statement I made. There's an error when importing certain VRO files for conversion. I had a near 2 hour of contents on a VRO, but the software was only imp...

Looks like a typo by the OP. The E and R keys are right next to each other.

Re: Unable to convert video file

I've often found files that fail to load for conversion can be gotten to load by saving the file as another file type format. Like from MKV to MP4. I use AVIDeMux for such a thing.

Re: First few seconds of video files missing

In AVIDeMux, did you try changing the target format file type to something like MKV? If that still doesn't work for these problematic files, try instead of using Copy for the Video format, try changing it to something like MPEG 4 AVC (x264). Sometimes "recompiling" by saving an entirely new file in ...

Re: First few seconds of video files missing

Yes, the only solution I found to these problematic MP4's is to load them in AVIDeMux and save them again as a new MP4 or a new file type format. No other changes need to be made in AVIDeMux when saving these MP4's to a new MP4. It may not work for you, but you can try it for yourself and see if it ...

I believe the Downloader in question in the aforementioned post is the software VSO Downloader. That it's still being updated as I believe an update to VSO Downloader was recently released.

DVD main menu titles bug in 7.0.0.31 Final

The DVD main menu title cannot be changed in 7.0.0.31 Final. It imports the file name of the first input file as the DVD main menu title and this cannot be changed. Even if you change the Project Name, the main menu title is not changed.

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.79

Importing chapters may not be honored with VIDEO_TS files. I had a VIDEO_TS contents of 1 title stream with 6 chapters. ConvertXToDVD outputs a stream with 11 chapters. I say may not because maybe I'm misinterpreting the options. I would think if the option to use original chapters from source is se...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.72

I don't know if this necessarily qualifies as a bug, but is it something that needs to be addressed? When you're editing the title name and you try to use copy and paste keyboard shortcuts for the text, ConvertXToDVD instead interprets these keyboard shortcuts as the insert functions for new title s...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.72

I determined it's not version specific. It was specific to the saved project I had. Other saved projects didn't do this, hence why I thought it had worked before in 6.0.0.71. It was only that one particular project. However, determining the exact cause has proven problematic. After testing the sourc...

Re: Incorrect time/chapters in 6.0.0.71

Turns out there were also major playback errors in 6.0.0.71. Playing a title set from beginning to end was fine. But, trying to scan backwards or forwards after the first chapter was all over the map. Pressing rewind would jump back to a previous chapter point instantaneously. Attempting to fast for...

Re: ConvertXtoDVD - beta version 6.0.0.72

When loading existing projects, the ConvertXToDVD icon in the system tray becomes green and stays green in 6.0.0.72 beta. When you start to build the DVD, the green goes away and the normal green bar depicting progress appears. I am pretty sure it didn't do this in 6.0.0.71 Gold release.

Re: Incorrect time/chapters in 6.0.0.71

Just tried it in 6.0.0.72 beta. To my surprise  the issue isn't present in the beta. So, whatever it was in 6.0.0.71 has apparently either been addressed or didn't propagate over to 6.0.0.72 beta.

Incorrect time/chapters in 6.0.0.71

I've noticed this on 2 different DVD's created with 6.0.0.71. So, it appears to be a bug in 6.0.0.71. The number of chapters and the time remaining are incorrect on these 2 DVD's. The Chapter number currently playing jumps backwards and forwards, for instance from 4 to 11 back to 4. And the remainin...

6.0.0.27 forgets minizing settings

When 6.0.0.27 is minimized, it goes to the system tray. I change the settings in default to not do this. It works. UNTIL the software is closed and reopened. The setting I changed is not remembered.

Feature requests for Version 6

Two things I think that need to be changed in Version 6: Change the default main page Title from being automatically renamed to the saved Project file name. In Version 5, the main page Title name was saved in Project files even if it was different from the Project name. In Version 6, when the Projec...

Re: PAL to NTSC conversion produces choppy video

I even converted the PAL DVD to an AVI with Freemake Video Converter and converted the AVI to a DVD in ConvertXToDVD 6.0.0.27. The choppiness is still there even under those conditions. So, it's the source video that seems to be the problem here.
