Re: iso burning to harddrive ask me to insert disc
I'm not sure it will help in your case, but try unchecking the first option, Burn result to disc. That way, I would think you wouldn't be prompted every time to burn a disc. But, is that what you want? No prompt to burn the output to disc? I don't. I write the output to VIDEO_TS and then create my o...

Re: Convertxtodvd 7 "A problem occurred during the process" Help
Try using a file converter to change the format from x265 to some other codec. Something like AVIDeMux. Whenever I have problematic files, the first thing I do is run them through a format converter.

Re: Intro Movie.
I don't THINK that's possible. I've never found it anywhere in the software. Doesn't mean it isn't there, though, but I can't think of how to do it.

Re: Need an answer to Title Chapter problem
I'm sure what you desire is possible in terms of the DVD Video standard. It's just not, probably, a feature implemented in CXD. So, you're probably out of luck on the CXD side and may need something else like TMPGEnc. If VSO didn't code the function into the software, it just can't be done, of course.

Interesting. CXD supports command line switches, which I wasn't aware of, yet, /? does NOT display a list of available switches.

Plus, did you try files that worked before or any other files before adding the last file you tried to add? It may just be a problematic file.

Re: Problems with ConvertXToDVD
Most likely, probably due to the age of CXD 3. I've used CXD going even further back than that. And I remember in the earlier days, there were many problems with the software and certain titles you'd import. Things like audio out of sync with video were very common. If it was a protection issue, the...

Re: Conversion of NTSC DVD to PAL didn't make Menu/Song Selection/Audio Selection
Since you seem to imply the DVD you're trying to convert is some kind of music DVD, it may be in Audio DVD format. Audio DVD contains its music in the menus of a DVD. And CXD doesn't convert the menus when copying over existing DVD's. That may be why you don't get the contents of the DVD you're tryi...

Re: Conversion of NTSC DVD to PAL didn't make Menu/Song Selection/Audio Selection
From experience, I know that PAL doesn't playback properly on NTSC TV. You get black and white and a wavy video. Sort of like those days in the late 80's and early 90's on American cable, for those who know what I'm talking about, where they'd scramble the pay TV stations. In fact, one of the things...

Re: Conversion of NTSC DVD to PAL didn't make Menu/Song Selection/Audio Selection
If he's playing NTSC on a PAL TV, I don't think there will be a problem as I believe, though I don't know since I'm on NTSC, that PAL TV's playback NTSC. If it's the other way around, PAL on NTSC, then he'll need a TV that supports PAL, too, in addition to a no region DVD player. Or, just make a cop...

Re: Conversion of NTSC DVD to PAL didn't make Menu/Song Selection/Audio Selection
I am guessing your source VIDEO_TS for this 6.x GB DVD is an original NTSC disc? Meaning, it's the disc as released with menus, etc.? CXD, when converting Titles from NTSC to PAL or the other way around, does not preserve the original menus on a disc. In fact, CXD, doesn't preserve the original menu...

Re: title menu page TITLE
About your P.S. question. The 4 hours maximum designation was instigated back in the days of DVD video recorders. So, a DVD-9 held 4 hours at standard VHS quality compression and a DVD-5 2 hours. And at the maximum compression, you could get 6 hours on a DVD-5 in a DVD video recorder. However, you c...

Re: Menu Want to Return to Page 1 Instead of 2
It's an idiosyncrasy of the software. It always returns to the last chapters page because, technically, it played the last chapter when it got to the end. As far as I know, there's no way around this.

Re: title menu page TITLE
You might want to ask that question under the ConvertXToHD 3 forum. I believe that application is the "ConvertXToBlu-Ray" program. However, I believe CHD behaves, in execution, the same as CXD, meaning it would generate BD's that are designed in terms of menus, etc. the way CXD DVD's behav...

Re: Possible to Adjust Volume
Be aware that with older versions of CXD, like 5, changing the volume level might have undesired results. For instance, there used to be an option that set the audio level to a certain percentage on all files. However, this produced the result that whenever there was silence and the audio resumed, i...

Re: CXD output playback on the PS3
Yeah, it's not a copy protection issue as the content plays fine. It's just Forward and Reverse scanning. It's not a disc quality issue because it occurs on both Ritek 8x DVD+RW, which is 2nd tier, admittedly, and on Verbatim MCM/MKM DataLife Plus/AZO (NOT the CMC Life Series junk you find in stores...

Re: Slideshows?
With an upscaling DVD player like my PS3, the video quality shouldn't be so bad. I supposed I could use PhotoDVD to create a VIDEO_TS of slideshows and then import that VIDEO_TS.IFO into a CXD project. Depends on how PhotoDVD authors its contents. I see PhotoDVD hasn't been updated in almost a decade.
