Re: Mkv To Bluray?

Don't mean to hijack already solved thread, but thought it would be best to keep related topic in same thread. Hope that's OK! Does anyone know if VSO intends to implement some sort of Cinavia work-a-round for the upcoming CX2BR software? Maybe something like what is used in DVDFab, which gives opti...

Re: Burn Error

Louise may have never used any programs to burn except CX2D and WMP, so I mentioned the tutorials just in case. I don't see why that is a big deal. Or, perhaps he has, who knows. It's not a big deal, just didn't want OP to think they were going to need a Master's Degree in computers in order to use...

Re: Burn Error

Anyone who has used any kind of burning software should be able to use Imgburn without needing tutorials, unless they decide to delve into its advance options. It is very user friendly and when you select a video file it will even automatically recognize that and suggest proper settings for a DVD vi...

Re: Burn Error

Yes, CK is right, since that error a lot of times is related to buffer problems, you should use a fairly large test conversion with Imgburn. If it is a buffer issue, a short project file may manage to burn successfully where a large one would not.

Re: help please

Try leaving the "Create chapter every..." unchecked and then use the "Merge" option instead of "Add" to add more titles. That will merge all the videos to one and automatically add chapter markers at the beginning of each merged title. That should do what you want.

Re: Burn Error

Try checking the manufacturer of your computers website for firmware update for your Blu-ray drive as CK suggested. Currently is v1.60. May want to check all the available downloads there, since sometimes manufacturers post fixes for system incompatibility that may be for your drive that isn't speci...

Re: Menu Editor requests

NVM. Discovered that after changing size, if I select a different item in tree view then the menu resizes to fit the new window. So can change size, but I would consider it a bug that preview doesn't change unless a different tree view item is selected afterward.

You can adjust its size in v4 and 5 by dragging the left edge of the preview pane and the top of the log pane.
Never works for me. See image.

Re: Menu Editor requests

Font can be changed inside CX2D as well. Just double click the text in the tree view you want to change and then select the text editor option near the end of the line. I can't believe I missed this. I've been using the "all menu pages..." editor and trying to find a font and positioning that works...

Re: Menu Editor requests

Widescreen menus are still previewed in 4:3 in v5, but there is an active request to make the preview the same as it will be when converted. Hey CK! Really, never really noticed. I just assumed the exposed white(not black as I stated in previous reply) background on the top and bottom was due to 16...

Re: Menu Editor requests

#3: Isn't that the Settings menu or am I misunderstanding? #4: "Play All" is already available in CX2D templates. You are correct. I should have said, "add a Settings menu or Play / Play All button to templates without one. (In v4, the layouts I like best are all based on the same 2 or 3 text-only ...

Re: Menu Editor requests

I've spent hundreds of hours creating and tweaking custom menus in CX2D v4 (using the "text style editor" and occasional INI edits), but when I find myself saying, "I wish I could..." it's almost always one of these six features: Move individual menu items and buttons, so they don't cover key areas...

Re:  Has title positioning still not been fixed?

Hello, Thanks for your report. You cannot change manually the position. Can you show screenshots comparing what was available in v4 that is no longer available in V5? I don't see what you mean right now. I'm guessing he's referring to the "Text Alignment" feature when you double click and select te...

Re: Using CX2dvd 4 on Mac

Your analogy is poor. 8) On the contrary, your comprehension is questionable if you don't think you can hunt rabbits with a gun that can kill elephants. Perhaps you are correct. I took your original elephant gun analogy to mean you thought it would be overkill to use one when hunting rabbits, which...

Re: Using CX2dvd 4 on Mac

Main reason MAC computers tend to typically outperform Windows based PC's is that MAC's usually have slightly higher end hardware than a typical store bought PC and is why MAC's cost more. LOL! Your assumptions are purely subjective, but 90% of the customers buying computers are objective(value/pri...

Re: Using CX2dvd 4 on Mac

As said, just depends on hardware/software installed, has nothing to do with whether system is a PC or MAC. My Windows PC I custom built converts in about 10-15 minutes as well for a standard length movie. Main reason MAC computers tend to typically outperform Windows based PC's is that MAC's usuall...

Re: Computer Freezing, Burner Locking Up, Etc

It's an Asus drive correct? According to the Asus website, the newest firmware for that drive is 1.03, not 1.05. I'm thinking perhaps since it's just a rebranded liteon drive, someone probably flashed it with the firmware for the liteon version, but perhaps there is something different enough about ...

Re: problems with conversion.

I returned the dvd player to the shop, cause it wouldn't work anymore with blu-ray disks. Don't know of ANY DVD players that DO work with BR discs. Also, could you clarify if the problem disc is a recent burn or burned some time ago? The ability to play the disc on your computer but not on stand-al...

Re: problems with conversion.

It sounds to me in his first sentence of original post he may be saying that a DVD he converted and burned over a year ago no longer plays correctly. If that is correct, cause is probably poor media that has degraded since burned. Average life span that should be expected for top-brand DVD's is 3-5 ...

Re: No sound in DVD player but PC OK.

This topic is several years old, log posted is definately not using Cinavia. Anyway, Cinavia protection also produces visible message about protection. Hey JJ. Yes, the original post is old and Cinavia wouldn't apply, but was responding to nwhitman who seems to be having similar issue as OP. Didn't...
