ISO Images of Mixed mode CD's ?

Post by spickle » Fri Nov 14, 2008 10:00 pm

I'm interested in copying and creating images of old game CD's -- I'm talking 10 years old and older. I'd like to make backups of them and I'd like to be able to create iso images of them to load them in Virtual PC and possibly DOSBox. I've been using imgburn because it's free, but it doesn't work with games that have both CD audio tracks and data tracks. Will Blindwrite copy mixed mode CD's -- especially those that may use old type formats? I can't seem to find the information in the FAQ -- lots of stuff about DVD's, but not so much about old mixed mode CD's.

Mixed mode CDs contain two sessions, one for audio tracks, and the second one for data. ISO images can only contain one session, so it's not possible to create an ISO of a mixed mode CD.
