Failed to write data

Post by jvinton » Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:41 am

I've backing up files with version

The files are large avi files. The source files are fine. After burning to DVD, the target file is the correct size, but the data is missing. If I open the file on the DVD with a binary editor, I can see that every bit is set to "0". There is no data.

This happened on some files, but not all.

Any suggestions?

Something wrong with your files, something preventing their use, files are moved during burn, or even files might have "piggybanked" streams giving false size. Way too many possibilities here.

You need to narrow it down more, which files, does it happen if you make ISO image instead of burning, does it happen with same files all the time and does it happen if those files are moved first to different folder?
